Korr Medical has changed that with their FDA approved Medically cleared ReeVue Indirect Calorimeter. The Korr analyzer utilizes the same technology as hospital Intensive Care Units. The metabolic rate test involves the individual sitting in a relaxed state and having his/her oxygen consumption captured through a breathing tube which feeds into the analyzer. In less than 15 minutes the calculation will provide the individualized unique metabolic rate. Your test will be unique to you and provide an accurate measurement of how many calories you burn all day, every day. Your test will also remove all doubt or guesswork as to it being slow, normal or fast. You will get a complete printout as to where your individual metabolism is on the metabolic scale. Metabolic testing will give you the exact measurement that you need to succeed in your goal. Testing consists of a fifteen minute breath test. Yes, it’s as simple as that. 1) Maintenance Zone- Number of calories you need to eat to stay at your current weight and fitness level. If you have completed a weight loss or fitness program, and are looking to maintain, this number will be vital to your long term success.

2) Weight Loss Zone- Number of calories you need to lose weight in a healthy manner while maintaining your fitness level and not slowing down your metabolism.

3) Medically Supervised Zone- Too few calories can cause you to lose muscle, slow your metabolism, deprive your body of vital nutrients and cause rapid weight gain previously lost pounds. This zone should only be used when under the direct care of a Physician. NOW THE FUN PART!!

-Log your calories via MyfitnessPal or likewise app
