That’s why I created this graphic.

At Rescue Esthetics, I don’t want to simply treat the breakouts you can see. I want to help you understand the bigger picture… what may be contributing to your acne, how those pieces may be connected, and why we make the changes we do.

Because acne is multifactorial, our approach should be too.

We work from the outside in AND the inside out… supporting the skin while also looking for patterns, triggers and contributing factors that may be keeping you stuck.

The goal isn’t just clearer skin. It’s helping you understand your skin well enough to manage it long-term. 🤍

Acne is incredibly multifaceted. The more years I spend studying and treating it, the more I appreciate just how many pieces there are to the puzzle. There’s always new research, different perspectives, and another layer worth digging into.

I spend A LOT of my free time reading, researching and continuing my education. Not because I’m looking for the answer, but because I believe the best acne professionals never stop adding to what they already know.

I take pieces from different theories, educators and research and use them to continually refine the way I approach acne and educate my clients.

Right now I’m reading The Enlightened Acne Method by Morgan Cameron and I am LOVING it. She is insanely intelligent, and I’ve already found myself highlighting and taking notes like crazy. 😂

The more knowledge I can bring into the treatment room, the more I can help my clients understand what may be happening with their skin.

And that will always be one of my favorite parts of what I do. ❤️

Every acne lesion really does have its own job, attitude, and reason for showing up.

And as funny as this is… it’s also why we can’t treat every type of acne the same. Different lesions have different levels of inflammation, depth, and behavior in the skin.

Understanding what we’re actually looking at is how we treat acne… instead of just playing with it.
