The 2026 St. Helens Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Show is hosted by the City of St. Helens and presented by Wauna Credit Union. Activities run from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4 in and around Columbia View Park.

Live music lineup:

🇺🇸 Rock & Roll Cowboys – 4 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.: Boot-stomping, crowd-pleasing country rock

🇺🇸 The Sweetwater Band – 7:15 p.m. – 10 p.m.: A high-energy mix of classic hits and crowd favorites

Local food and merchandise vendors will be onsite.

🇺🇸 A fireworks show will take place at 10 p.m.

Tailgating spots are available for a fee. Ticket sales go toward supporting this free community event.

Spots are first-come, first-served and must be reserved. Only one reservation per vehicle is required. No overnight parking is allowed.

🇺🇸 11 a.m.: Columbia County Authors Alliance readings from America Anthology 250

🇺🇸 1 p.m.: Best apple pie announced with Aurora and the Carnies Dancing Troupe

🇺🇸 1:30 p.m.: Flag raising ceremony presented by National Guard 741 BEB, the American Legion, and VFW with the National Anthem sung by Ellie Wienke

🇺🇸 2 p.m.: Let Freedom Bells Ring ceremony

🇺🇸 2 p.m.: Larry Jackson Big River Big Band and birthday cake for America 250

🇺🇸 2:30 p.m.: Art contest winners announced

Scout Troop 106 St. Helens and Scout Troop 294 Scappoose will have a refreshment trailer near City Hall as a fundraiser. Items will include hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, water, soda, and their popular ice cream cones!

TRAFFIC ALERT: The 2026 St. Helens High School Senior Class and Community Cruise takes place tomorrow (Tuesday, June 2) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. No roads will be closed, but expect heavier traffic than usual along the planned route.

The Cruise will loop on the following route: Along Columbia Boulevard from Highway 30 down onto South 1st Street, loop through Plaza Square, return up South 1st Street to Columbia Boulevard and St. Helens Street, then circle back to Columbia Boulevard via Highway 30.
