A-1 tanning will be closed for the morning shift. The roads are terrible and on top of that I'm in the ER have not been feeling well for a few wks and got diagnosed with influenza B and a sinus infection this week. Sorry for any inconvenience please stay safe out there. Think sun 🌞

Gail and Dave(owner) were in a bad accident this morning, Gail's new car was totaled and Dave took the most damage as it was a T-bone on his side of the car. They were headed to ann arbor U of M hospital for his appointment. Stay safe

This morning I received a call from someone claiming to have recently moved here. This person was wanting a spray tan service so I started to ask my usual questions to assess the situation and determine when to schedule her as it is by appointment only and takes 24hrs for the color to develop on the skin. I did not get very far into my conversation to fully explain to this person just what my service entails before I got a rude response about how she will not be using my business for something along the lines of pricing? My rates for this service are below average for all that I offer. Its not just a spray tan its a custom service to each individual that includes a lot of other amenities that most salons with either charge extra for or not offer at all and send you on your way for failure. I charge $30 per spray however I try to give all the best information for success from the prep that needs to happen before a spray tan and what needs to happen after. I don't just use one color and call it good. I use a pre PH balancing spray accompanied with barrier cream, hair net, and sticky feet to protect the bottom of feet. Then I use a customized color I have mixed for the individual all the while explaining in detail how my products work on the skin and the care to be used in order for the color to develop fully and last as long as possible. Lastly I use a moisturizer spray which is important to keep the skin moisturized while the 24hr development is happening and then every day after for 7-10 days is how long a spray tan should last. So is $30 too much? No
