Hi 👋🏼 I’m Colby — the face behind The Tan Studio by Colby Roy Beauty… and since there are quite a few new faces around here, I figured we were overdue for a proper introduction.

I’m a wife, mom of three, makeup artist, spray tan artist + the person behind basically everything happening inside these four walls. 😂

I’ve been spray tanning for 4 years now, and somewhere along the way I think I accidentally became “the” tan girl around here. 🙃😘

What started as another service within my beauty business quickly became something I genuinely LOVED — and wanted to get really freaking good at. So we did just that 👌🏼

I’m professionally trained + certified in spray tanning, with continued education in color theory, undertones, DHA, solution selection + customized application.

Because after four years and a whole lotttt of bodies sprayed, I can confidently tell you: a good spray tan is never one-shade-fits-all.

And eventually, being “the tan girl” expanded beyond just sprays.

I wanted to create a place where I could take care of all of your tanning needs — whether you love a custom spray tan, prefer a traditional tanning bed, want the power of a stand-up, or switch between them depending on the season.

My family has watched me build, change, rearrange, second-guess, expand + pour entirely too much of my brain into this little studio — and they’re a huge part of why I keep doing it.

The Tan Studio has grown SO much from where it started, and I’m really freaking proud of what it’s becoming.
