I ran out of my usual PLA foam under eye pads and had to go back to an old “dupe” I grabbed from Amazon… and baby, the difference was LOUD 😩

With good foam pads, you get better tack, a cleaner custom fit, and you don’t have to fight to keep everything in place. I barely need tape because everything sits exactly where it should.

It’s your first impression, your trust builder, and the moment your client decides if they feel safe in your chair.

In my studio, every consult follows 5 intentional steps:
1️⃣ A warm door greeting: because clients should feel welcomed, not rushed.
2️⃣ A presentation-style review of their consent form — they’ve read it online, now they see and hear me explain it.
3️⃣ Lash history questions + a hands-on lash care demo with a mannequin (and yes, I make them try it too).
4️⃣ Style + face mapping to mix what they want with what I know will flatter them best.
5️⃣ A service walkthrough so they know exactly when to relax and enjoy their lash nap.

🧼 One & Done Cream Remover: This right here? Game changer! It melts cyanoacrylate and lets extensions glide off. No reactions, no stress.
🪞 Lash Mirror: Because checking your work as you go is key to keeping the set clean and consistent. Mirrors teach accountability and attention to detail.
💜 Wands: We brush lashes! These are a MUST for checking stickies, keeping things fluffy, and maintaining a clean application.
📏 Tape: Say it with me! tape is your best friend. From exposing layers to mastering isolation, tape builds skill and confidence. I’d never leave it out.
🖤 Flex Adhesive: The dry time is ideal for beginners learning speed and placement. It’s black, so visibility is easier during application. I started with Flex before graduating to Halo, and I’m glad I did.
🌸 Flower Cups: These grooves help fan lashes quicker when handmaking. Less struggle, more success, especially in the early days when technique is still building.

Let’s talk Lash Serum 101 💧

Healthy natural lashes = better lash retention. Period.
That’s why I always recommend lash serum as part of your lash care routine, and I teach my students to do the same!

Here’s why it matters:
✨ Lash serums help extend the growth phase of your natural lashes
✨ They strengthen the hair follicle, reducing premature shedding
✨ Over time, they promote longer, thicker, fuller lashes
✨ Healthier lashes hold extensions better and longer

The key? Consistency.
Most serums need 4–8 weeks to show results. Apply daily on clean skin along the lash line (like eyeliner), and remind your clients: less is more!

Lash extensions don’t last forever, because your natural lashes don’t either!

Let’s break down the lash growth cycle so you understand why fills every 2–3 weeks are non-negotiable:

✨ Anagen (Baby Phase): New lashes that are short, strong, and growing fast. This phase lasts 30 to 45 days.
✨ Catagen (Teen Phase): The transition stage. Lashes are mid-growth and slowing down. This lasts about 2 to 3 weeks.
✨ Telogen (Adult Phase): Lashes are fully grown and just hangin’ out until they shed. This phase can last 4 to 9 weeks.

You naturally lose about 3–7 lashes per eye every day. That’s around 48 lashes by week 2 😳

If your clients don’t get regular fills, they’ll be texting you like “my lashes fell out” when really… it’s just biology.
