A little over 10 years ago I probably knew less about massge than most. Was a travel agent for a little over 15 years and associated massages as something soft and beautiful under a cabana on a beach, cruise ships and day spas. After massage training; I found my "niche", and that was going back to my roots to helping others the best I can, this time, through Deep Tissue massage. From awesome clients with pain, arthitis, sciatica, chronic headaches, mobility restrictions, insomnia and SO much more, and, yes, some of the best STRESS relief without chemicals I know of. Some years ago, the American Arthritis Foundation did a poll from it's members. I had a hard time believing that Deep Tissue massage was voted as the best result. I'm thinking, if you're already hurting, won't I just make it worse? Once, a lady with Rheumatoid arthritis in her hands come in for lower back pain relief; I spoke to her of her hands, made it clear I wasn't promissing anything, but, if she'd like me to try, that I'd do what I can. It wasn't pleasant for EITHER of us. I received a call from her the following afternoon. "Adam, I HATED YOU yesterday when you were hurting my hands! Today, I love you! " LOL! That BLEW ME AWAY and reinforced my belief in Deep Tissue. Still surprises me after 10 yrs what it can do. I am only an instrument, for real, I know that.
