Embracing your grey, working with your natural, grey blending doesn’t have to mean going white overnight! 👩🏼‍🦳There are lots of ways you can make your color routine less maintenance without feeling like you instantly aged 20 years. Swipe for inspo- all of these are forms of grey blending!

Here are some of my favorite methods for GREY BLENDING:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Instead of a root retouch, we do your usual retouch color in foils. Over time, we switch to more spaced out foils and even balayage. This method allows you to embrace some grey, without feeling like you have a skunk stripe out. Plus, the foils of your color can reduce the amount of grey you have and help you feel younger during the transition. (This is my favorite and most recommended method!)

2. Foils foils foils! We do a heavy blonde foil to help lighten the color and work towards you being able to be done with color. This method is great for brunettes wanting to get there faster.

3. Gentle root touch up lightening. Every time you come in we bump up the shade by a half step until you feel comfortable with just letting it go. Generally a great method for light brunettes/dark blondes.

4. We stop coloring around your hairline. This allows you to have some fashion forward grey around your face without completely giving up the color you still love. This can also lessen the feeling of needing a root retouch every 3 weeks! This option is great for all colors!
