Oh did my students Ashlynn & Leila nail it this past weekend in my Classic Lash Mastery Course. Neither had done eyelash extensions before, and just look at their first time results! 🔥

Have you been burned by an “influencer”? Or did it work out and they sent you clients?
Visualizing how that rod or shield is going to create the shape of your clients lashes is so helpful in choosing which shape is best for them. I love this comparison- and it shows how having all 3 options really can give customized results for your lash lifts.
If you’re a lash artist and stressed about your IG account and making content. My advice is don’t worry about that as much and focus on Google Reviews and Referrals. Having a great Google review page and amazing word of mouth is a long game, but totally worth it to build a reliable, thriving lash business.
I’m not saying don’t post to IG, but think of that as your portfolio, and a way to have clients see who you are, your space, and what kind of work you do. Don’t stress over likes.

Don’t make this critical mistake on your lash lifts:
Top pic ➡️ see the base of the lashes, they are not curved and straight. This is from too much tension on the lashes, the lashes are pulled so tightly in the rod, they are pulling upward causing a straight shape at the base.
Bottom pic ➡️ compare now how the lashes are snug on the rod, but not pulling so hard that the base still maintains a curved shape.
If you now imagine the shape of the lashes when you take off the rod, you can see how the lashes in the bottom pic will have much more curl.
So on your next lift, make sure you pay attention to this detail to maximize your lifts.
Tell me your thoughts on this…for me, I specialize in natural looking lashes. When your client has a friend who’s been wearing “crazy lashes” for years, my thoughts are:
1) that client probably likes their super dramatic lashes so they may not like the kind of work I do.
2) they may have potentially damaged naturals further exacerbating the issue of me only being able to apply what their lashes can support.
If that client is happy with those lashes, I would prefer them to continue to get them versus trying to convince them natural, healthy lashes are better.

I mean, is a scientific study really necessary, or do we just “know”?
