It is with a heavy heart that we announce the loss of our beloved salon mascot, Izzy — also known as Frizzy Izzy, Frizz, and our forever puppy.

As you can imagine, despite her old age, this loss is tremendous. Izzy was so much more than a salon dog. She was our greeter, lap warmer, best friend, and a cherished part of the Havana family. She had a special way of making every guest feel welcome and loved from the moment they walked through the doors of Havana Salon.

We can’t imagine moving forward without her sweet disposition, gentle spirit, and genuine love for every person who crossed our threshold. She brought comfort, smiles, and joy to so many, and her absence will be deeply felt.

To honor Izzy’s memory, we would love for you to share any photos, stories, or memories you have of her. Please tag Havana Salon so we can celebrate the life and love of a dog who touched so many hearts.

Thank you for loving our sweet girl as much as we did. She may be gone from our salon, but she will forever remain a part of Havana’s story.

The final color was even prettier in person, but that’s salon life—running behind the chair, educating, answering questions, and somehow forgetting to take enough photos. 😅

This transformation took an overly processed, porous level 9 and turned it into this beautiful, rich tone using Paul Mitchell The Color.
