“Hii! My names Libby! I have been growing my craft behind the chair for over 2 years and have worked in salons in Colorado and New Hampshire, and now have been graced with the opportunity of working in my favorite city, Salem, Ma! As a North Shore native, and after 6 years away from home, the Witch City has called me back.

In my time behind the chair I have fallen in love with giving people the hair of their dreams! I love anything transformative, clipper work, curly cuts, creative vivids and lived in color. For me, hair is an extension of the self, and I feel that self expression is extremely important.

Outside of the salon I spend lots of time in nature with my dog, crafting in whatever medium I’m currently fixated on, tracking down a good coffee shop, or roaming the streets of downtown.

I’m looking forward to developing my craft here at Moon Baby and meeting lovely new faces along the way! My chair will always be a safe space where being yourself is always welcome.”

I have always been an observer, taking in and plucking random things from the world to store in my head for later. Ideas, solutions, colors, questions, the good, the bad and everything else swirling around me, like a big warm hug of creativity. They used to call it an overactive imagination, like it was a bad thing. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. It got me to where I am today.

Moon Baby was a thought that just grew and grew as I honed my craft. The idea ping ponged in and out for so long, being pushed out far away when the reality of it coming to light was too scary. I even tried to drown it out by daydreaming about quitting hair and becoming a wrestler (fun fact: Sara Tonin’ would have been my wrestling name). Those were just daydreams and what I needed to do for myself and others finally broke through and gave me the chance.

Moon Baby was created with other like minded and intuitive creatives in mind. For the ones who were told there is only one way to do things, one way to think, that we were too weird to make it in this world, too sensitive, too opinionated and that we just were not enough but also too much at the same time. My answer to all of that: Count me out.

I’ve always been this way. It’s gotten me where I am today.

The time has come for me to make a much needed shift in my availability behind the chair. I have such an incredible team that deserves the world and I need to reserve my time and energy to ensure they are thriving in their craft. I have trickled out my new schedule the last few months, and starting in June, I will be booking appointments 3 days a week: Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays.

This will allow me to offer so much more to my wonderful team, and all of you as well. If our schedules no longer align with this change, I do have the perfect stylist at the salon in mind for your future appointments. Do not hesitate to shoot me a message or ask any questions at during your next appointment.

To my clients, you’ve gotten me where I am today, and I am forever grateful for the trust so early on in my career, and that you continue to offer. Thank you for sharing your stories, and I can’t WAIT to hear more in the years to come♥️
