Hayden Adkins- Stylist at Onyx Hair Studio

Helloooooooo everybody!!!
If you don’t know me, my name is Hayden. 8 months ago, burnt out and desperate for change, I quit my job, and my partner and I moved 200+ miles away from everyone we knew. I mean…change is good right?? 😅 During my sabbatical from the hair industry, I thought long and hard about what fills my cup, which is to say: I’m thrilled to announce I’ve accepted a position with Onyx Hair Studio in Salem as a cut/color/curl specialist. 💚🖤💛
With that, my social media will be getting a huge makeover (long overdue!), so I’ll be deleting lots of old photos, and reposting some, and beg of you to be patient while my millennial self learns to be active of socials. So first, an introduction!
A little snapshot into who I am as a human and hairdresser:
⭐️1. Almost two years ago I got to see my brother and his beautiful wife get married! They are a couple of my favorite people.
⭐️2. In 2022 and 2023 I had the immense privilege of traveling to Calabasas, California to complete Wella’s Color Expert program!
⭐️3. My partner, Nate, and I love being outside and especially attending live music. I took him to see Jason Isbell for his birthday!
⭐️4. Since moving to Roanoke, I’ve volunteered a fair bit with the Regional Center for Animal Care and Protection and in January, Nate and I fostered the sweetest, craziest coonhound named Banjo! Finding him his perfect furver family is one of my proudest accomplishments.
⭐️5. This past winter turned me into a sourdough girlie. My starter’s name is Doughlene. (Doughlene, doughleeeene 🎶)
⭐️6. And finally, how appropriate that my facebook gave me some hair memories today. I am notoriously bad at taking/remembering to take/posting photos. This is the beginning of that changing!
