September is over, and although I didn’t quite hit my 38 miles, I pushed myself to get those walks in on days I really didn’t feel like it.
Because me, postpartum, sitting in the NICU watching my baby fight, didn’t feel like doing much of anything either.
There were months when my 30 weeker wasn’t even on the growth chart.
Now she’s almost 4 years old, in the 95th percentile for height and 90th for weight. 🥹
She’s healthy. She’s strong. And she fought like hell to come home.
So maybe I didn’t finish all 38 miles this September, but every single mile I did walk meant something. Every mile was for her, for the babies still fighting, and for the moms sitting beside an incubator wondering when they’ll finally get to bring their baby home. At least 10 of those miles were for my bestie Hannah & baby Finn 🫶🏻
I’m so damn proud of every NICU mom.
I’m so damn proud of every NICU baby.
And I’ll never stop being proud of mine.

My little diva, is starting early. But honestly I had no idea Theatre Salina offers classes for age 3-4!
Remember what you say about yourself, your kids are listening. Show them better relationships with their bodies starting with YOU.
