Your filler needs a vacation before your vacation.

One of the biggest mistakes I see? Wanting to book your filler a few days before a trip.

Fresh filler isn’t your final result. It takes 2-4 weeks for the filler to fully settle, integrate with your tissue, and for any residual swelling to resolve. What you see in the first few days (or even couple of weeks) isn’t necessarily what you’ll look like long-term.

Here’s why timing matters:
💉 Swelling can last days to weeks.
💉 Bruising is always a possibility.
💉 Your final result takes time to develop.
💉 If you want any touch-ups, you’ll have time to do them before you leave.

If you have a wedding, vacation, or any big event, I recommend scheduling your filler at least *4–6 weeks* in advance.

Give your filler time to settle… so you can spend your vacation enjoying it instead of icing it. 😉

There are so many factors that go into choosing what filler injectors use on each patient such as:

•Specific patient goals and desired outcomes
•Lip tissue type and quality
•Rheology — How much water pull we need
•Safety
•How much volume loss we need to replace
•Any existing filler or scar tissue
•Longevity
•Injection plane & technique

Now, if you’ve gotten your lips etc done elsewhere and have great results with one product and haven’t had good results with another, then we’ll absolutely use the specific lip filler you want! I won’t use a product that we know doesn’t work for you. But usually we should leave it up to the injector. 🫶🏼
