I think one of the biggest things I’ve learned as an esthetician is this: A lot of women don’t actually have “bad” skin.
Their skin is just overwhelmed. And I get it. When you’re breaking out, inflamed, sensitive, oily, congested, frustrated,
you just want it GONE. So naturally, you start trying everything.
More products. Stronger products. TikTok trends. Harsh acne routines. Over-exfoliating. Drying your skin out hoping it’ll finally clear.
I see it ALL the time. But most of the time?
Your skin isn’t asking to be attacked harder. It’s asking to be supported.
Because healthy skin usually comes from:
🤍 consistency
🤍 hydration
🤍 calming inflammation
🤍 barrier support
🤍 patience
🤍 understanding YOUR skin specifically
Not panic. And I think that’s the part social media sometimes forgets. Not every viral product is meant for YOUR skin. Not every trend is safe for your barrier. Not every breakout needs harsher products.
Sometimes your skin is stressed.
Sometimes your hormones are involved.
Sometimes your barrier is damaged.
Sometimes your nervous system is dysregulated and your skin is literally reflecting it.
That’s why I focus so much on calming inflammation FIRST.
Because when skin is inflamed, overwhelmed, and reactive, it can’t heal properly.
So whether you book a New Client Skin Analysis with me or start with the Acne Healing Kit, my goal is never to overwhelm your skin more.
It’s to help you:
✨ stop guessing
✨ stop wasting money
✨ understand your skin
✨ create a plan that actually makes sense for YOU
Your skin deserves support 🙏🏼 Not punishment. And I promise,
calm skin heals a lot faster than angry skin. 🤍

The more you pick your skin, the longer the marks stay.
As an esthetician, yes... I help people improve their skin. But I also think it’s important to remind ourselves that REAL skin is normal too. Because so many of us are silently stuck in the cycle of: picking, inflaming, covering, criticizing, zooming into every pore, and comparing ourselves to unrealistic beauty standards online.
I know this cycle personally because I used to do it too.
I used to notice every tiny bump under my skin and feel like l NEEDED to get it out. But the more I picked, the more inflammation I created. And the more inflammation I created, the longer the marks stayed.
And that’s the part a lot of us don’t understand: sometimes the pigmentation, redness, and irritation become more frustrating than the breakout itself.
This is why I wanted to create this post: to explain inflammation, PH, pigmentation, healing, and REAL skin. Because not every mark is a scar. Not every pore is a flaw. Not every texture change means something is “wrong.” Your skin is constantly responding, protecting, communicating, and healing.
And I think a lot more of us would feel lighter if we stopped measuring our beauty against filters, editing, Al, perfect lighting, and unrealistic standards online.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with: taking care of yourself, loving beauty, getting treatments, wearing makeup, Botox, lashes, or doing the things that make you feel confident.
But your worth was NEVER supposed to be attached to perfection.
And I also think it’s important to speak to ourselves with more kindness. Because yes... it’s easy to stand in front of the mirror and immediately start criticizing yourself or fixating on every little thing.
But instead of attacking ourselves, let’s try asking:
“Okay, what can I do to support my skin right now?”
If it’s a breakout, let’s calm it. If it’s congestion, let’s book an extraction facial. If it’s pigmentation, let’s create a brightening plan. If it’s inflammation, let’s reduce the triggers and support… more in comments…

Feliz día de La Madre 🫶🏼 Happy Mother’s Day 💐 This beautiful earth is filled with mothers and their children 🤍
To the moms doing their best while carrying so much behind the scenes.
To the women who long to become mothers one day.
To the moms who are grieving, healing, exhausted, overstimulated, or questioning if they’re doing enough.
To the women missing their mothers today.
To the single moms, stepmoms, bonus moms, grandmas, aunties, and mother figures who love deeply and give endlessly.
And to the moms learning how to take care of themselves while taking care of everyone else…
I see you. 🌷
Motherhood is beautiful, but it’s also emotional, messy, stretching, humbling, and transformative in ways words can’t fully explain.
Please remember this today:
You do not have to be perfect to be an amazing mother. Your love, your presence, your sacrifices, your hugs, your patience, your prayers, they matter more than you know.
And if today feels heavy for any reason, I’m sending YOU extra love too. 🤍🤗🫶🏼💐
“La mejor mamá” isn’t about perfection. It’s about love. And love like a mother’s is truly one of the most powerful things in this world.

Things I realized after learning how the brain forms habits ☕️🧠
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
One thing about me is… when I realize something I’m consuming or doing may not be the BEST for my body, my skin, my nervous system, or my health long-term, I don’t just wanna hear: “it’s bad for you.”
I wanna understand WHY.
I want facts.
I want science.
I want to understand what’s happening inside the body so my brain can actually process it and accept it.
And honestly, learning about neural pathways and habit-forming behavior changed SO MUCH for me!
Because then I realized:
THAT’S why it’s so hard for people to stop certain habits.
Not because people are “weak.”
Not because people “lack discipline.”
But because the brain LOVES efficiency and patterns. The more we repeat something, the stronger that pathway becomes.
Wake up → coffee.
Stress → drink.
Bad day → food.
Anxiety → scrolling.
Overwhelmed → stimulation.
The brain starts automatically connecting emotions, routines, and behaviors together. And once I understood that, I stopped judging myself so much.
Instead, I started asking:
“How can I support my body better?”
Because sometimes the goal isn’t removing the ritual. It’s replacing what’s inside the ritual. That’s exactly what happened with coffee for me.
I slowly realized I was attached more to: the ROUTINE, the comfort, the familiarity, the pause, the emotional connection to it. More than the coffee itself. So instead of completely removing the ritual, I slowly replaced it.
Coffee →
tea →
warm lemon water →
electrolytes →
natural energy.
And eventually, my body adapted. Now honestly? If I drink coffee, I feel it IMMEDIATELY. I get hot. Jittery. Sweaty. Anxious. My nervous system feels overstimulated.
Even my face reacts: puffiness, dehydration, swelling,
inflammation.
(Okayyyy except maybe an espresso martini once in a while 😂🍸)But awareness changed everything for me.
Because once you understand what something is doing to your body, it becomes easier to make different choices from a place of SELF RESPECT instead of restriction.

I used to think I “needed” coffee to function.
As a busy mom, esthetician, business owner. I normalized running on stress, overstimulation, and exhaustion. I stopped drinking coffee 6 years ago. At one point, I could finish almost an entire Starbucks traveler box in a day. And honestly? My body was trying to tell me something.
The anxiety. The shaking hands. The feeling hot and jittery. The crashes. The inflammation. The wired-but-exhausted feeling.
I realized I had become attached to the ROUTINE of coffee more than what my body actually needed. So instead of judging myself or forcing restriction, I slowly became more aware.
I started supporting my body differently:
☀️ sunlight
💧 hydration
🍋 warm lemon water
🥚 nourishment
🧘🏻♀️ nervous system regulation
🚶🏻♀️ movement
And over time, my body stopped depending on fake energy.
This post is NOT about saying coffee is “bad.” It’s about awareness. Your skin, hormones, gut, mood, inflammation, anxiety, and energy are all connected more than we realize.
Sometimes your body isn’t asking for more stimulation. It’s asking for support. And sometimes the skin shows it first.
Have you ever noticed your anxiety, energy, or skin change from too much caffeine? ☕️🍋
Comment “coffee” or “lemon water” 👇🏼I wanna hear your experience.

Are you acne-prone… and feel like the foods you love are breaking you out?
4 things you need to understand before cutting them out:
1.
2.
3.
4.
You start noticing it. Breakouts after certain meals, puffiness in your face, your skin feeling more inflamed than usual 🤔 “But I’ve always ate like this.”
And then you hear:
“you need to cut this out, avoid that, don’t eat this…”
And it feels like you have to give up everything you grew up loving 😱
This is where a lot of people get it wrong & what I go over in my Skin Consultations.
Healing your skin isn’t about restriction. It’s about UNDERSTANDING your body. Your acne, your inflammation, your gut- they’re all CONNECTED.
What you eat doesn’t just affect your digestion. It SHOWS up on your skin.
• High sugar → insulin spikes → breakouts
• Processed foods → internal inflammation
• Gut imbalance → congestion, sensitivity, flare-ups
But that doesn’t mean you can never enjoy your comfort foods again. It means… You SUPPORT your body while it’s HEALING FIRST. You learn your triggers. You reduce the inflammation. You give your gut time to reset. This takes at least 90 consecutive days. Are you committed to clear skin? And feeling comfortable in your OWN skin again?
And then, you SLOWLY bring things back. With awareness.
You don’t have to disconnect from the cultura. You don’t have to give up the foods you love. You just learn how to EVOLVE them, so they love YOU back 🤗
This is how you create:
clear skin, less inflammation, and freedom 🍜
SAVE THIS if you’re learning how to HEAL your skin without losing yourself
And I made an anti-inflammatory version of sopita 🍜
Same comfort. Just made to support your skin + gut
