🌿 Five Years of Planted 🌿

In 2020, the world was spiraling…..and so was I. But my dreams started knocking. I wanted something different: a space for good hair, inclusivity, and authenticity. I just didn’t know yet how much I’d grow into that myself.

Being a business owner is hard. It’s humbling, isolating, and beautiful all at once. The first two years tested me….I lost love, people I adored, and parts of myself.

But I went inward and stopped searching for permission or validation and started showing up for myself.

Then everything shifted. The right people came. My crew helped me rebuild, reminded me who I am, and we found our rhythm.

These last two years? The best of my career. I’ve laughed, sob cried, healed, and built something real with people who show up….for themselves, for each other, and for me.

Planted turns 5 this week. 🌱
Every tear, every late night, every ounce of growth has been worth it.
These girls are worth it.
This dream is worth it.
And I love being the Planted mom. 💚

Hi, I’m Victoria….but let’s be real, almost nobody calls me that. Just Tori, please.
I’m a proud, thick queen who lives for good hair, great laughs, scary movies, and a clean space.

I own , a beautiful, inclusive salon in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City 🌱✂️. It’s my little slice of magic, and I love what I do.

Born and raised in the City of Salt, but dreaming of sunshine and palm trees someday 🏝️.
My life’s playlist never stops, though country ranks… low (no shade, just facts). If I love you, you’ve 100% had a song dedicated to you 🎶.
I’m happiest at home with my dog Duncan , Drago, and my lover 😘 , preferably eating Greek food and watching something spooky. 🥗 🍝👻

I believe in self-expression, healing, non-judgment, and being kind, always.
We never truly know what someone’s carrying…so I try to lead with softness, honesty, and a good sense of humor.

In front of my salon team recently I was called out and challenged by a physic medium to look at myself in the mirror everyday and say something I loved about myself and to not hate on myself so hard.
Damn! Did this lady see right threw me or what!?…
We are all so critical of ourselves. I am constantly telling my clients to be kinder to themselves yet in my head I’m a fu**in wreck..
I feel like I carry the weight of the world. I much rather carry others burdens or be inconvenienced then ever share the weight or inconvenience someone else on my behalf.
Over the last few weeks of looking at the girl in the mirror I of course see a girl who was constantly judging herself based preconceived notions of who she ought to be or plagued by things I felt she did so wrong.
After mornings of quick glances and even quicker compliments to myself in the mirror. I’ve gone far much more in depth then physical things I like about myself but the inside things I do love about myself. I have a big heart, I care deeply, and I’m human. Growing, learning, and loving myself one mirror morning compliment at a time! 💕
So I hope if you feel a lil hard on yourself or you don’t know where to start. Maybe look at yourself in the mirror and say a compliment to your mirror bestie. She needs it! 😘 😘
