What does a woman do with the knowledge of misogyny?

That our bodies can be violated & our credibility put on trial. That saying no can put us in danger. That speaking up can cost us community & safety.

We learn to calculate. Watch our drinks. Share our locations. Shoot. Fight. Flee. Decide who we can tell & whether we can bear what happens after, knowing how often justice fails survivors & men are protected from accountability.

It’s sickening to sit with the prevalence & dismissal of SA in this country. Behind those statistics are women we love. For so many of us, we’re also looking at our own lives. This violence reaches all women in some way, shaping our freedom, trust & sense of safety.

And somehow, our rage is treated as the problem?

The news surrounding the Cornell Seven brings this painfully into focus. I stand with Jane Doe & survivors everywhere.

As a survivor & a WOC living in SLC, Utah, I know how racism, religious control & patriarchy shape whose pain is believed & whose anger is punished.

As a trauma-informed holistic healer, coach, alchemist & shadow worker with 15+ years of experience & a decade of private practice, this is my life’s work.

At Solstice Holistic, we make room for what you’ve been taught to shush & swallow. Rage. Grief. The truths that disrupt the peace everyone expected you to preserve.

We do soul work. Integrate the shadow. Reclaim voice, choice & self-trust. Alchemize pain into power & wounds into wisdom—with support, at your pace.🪷

My own alchemy has never meant making what happened acceptable. Healing does not absolve those who harmed us.

Survivors: you are not required to keep watching or fighting. Establish energetic boundaries. Turn the news off. Return to the rituals, relationships, spirituality & support that keep you centered & held.

You are the altar, not the sacrifice.

HOW TO MAKE MOON WATER 🌙✨

You don’t have to wait for a full moon to make moon water. Whatever phase we’re in, there’s energy you can work with & intentions worth setting.

- Start by connecting to & learning about the specific energy you’re working with. What phase is the moon in? What sign is it moving through? How does it affect yours? ( is my go-to) 🪐

- Fill a clean glass container with water. Filtered water is great, or if you’re able to, get some from a stream or river. I use palo santo or sage to clear the container of any lingering energy beforehand.

- Write your intentions & manifestations on a piece of paper, down to the detail. This is your time to visualize, play BIG & plant seeds that are powerful & expansive for your future self. Keep your higher self in mind as you write 👑

- Place your intentions next to your container along with any crystals you’d like to charge, & let it all sit under the moonlight overnight.

- Give yourself time & space to really feel the emotions that will come when your intentions come to life. Then act as if it’s already yours. It’s already here. It’s already happening 🫶🏼🕊️

I love using mine in a bath, to water my plants, to sip before I facilitate healing sessions or to anoint myself before meditation. If yours came from a river or stream, keep it for ritual use & skip drinking it.

Tell me in the comments: what are you calling in this moon cycle? One word is enough 🤍 And save this so you have it next time.

& you can’t turn it off, even when you desperately want to 🥲

Most info online about cPTSD stops at “you’re hypervigilant & you people-please & being human is way harder for you than the average person.” True, but that’s scratching the surface.

Here’s what I actually see in session, with high-functioning adults who’ve spent years thinking their nervous system was just “how they are”:

THE DISCERNMENT PROBLEM: You can’t always tell the difference between intuition and fear anymore. A gut feeling and a trauma response can feel identical in the body — and most people have never been taught how to tell them apart. This is where a lot of “trust your gut” advice fails high-functioning cPTSD folks; sometimes your gut is lying to you, and it’s not your fault.

THE COMPETENCE TRAP: The same hypervigilance that’s exhausting you is also what makes you excellent at your job, sharp in negotiations, the one who catches what everyone else misses. Nobody talks about how to keep the skill and lose the suffering — because most approaches try to eliminate the trait instead of retraining what it’s protecting you from.

THE REST RESISTANCE: It’s not that you don’t want to rest. It’s that your body has learned, at a cellular level, that stillness is when bad things happen. You can’t logic your way out of that. It has to be re-taught somatically — through the body, not just insight.

THE OVER FUNCTIONING ANXIETY: You’ve built your entire sense of worth around being the reliable one. Untangling cPTSD means untangling who you are *without* the vigilance running the show — and that’s the part that actually scares people, more than the symptoms do.

This is where DBT skills, somatic work, EFT, and Bailey | Holistic Healer soul work come in — not to make you “less sensitive,” but to teach your nervous system it’s allowed to stand down and settle. To help you keep your gifts and superpowers without the constant emotional cost. 🤍

Follow along, comment, and let me know what questions or curiosities you have about cPTSD and healing.

My shirt’s inside out & I woke up 10 minutes ago but… am I wrong?

Not all support actually feels supportive.

When a neurodivergent woman is overstimulated, experiencing executive dysfunction or moving through rejection sensitivity, “You’ll be alright” can feel less like reassurance & more like being left alone inside the overwhelm.

Support doesn’t mean rescuing her, parenting her or taking responsibility for her emotions.

It can sound like:

❤️“Do you want comfort, help finding a solution or some space?”

❤️“What would make this feel easier?”

❤️“Would it help if I sat with you while you started?”

❤️”Is there something I can take off your plate?”

That is co-regulation: remaining responsible for ourselves while allowing safe, emotionally attuned people to support our nervous systems.

Neurodivergent women ✨do not✨ need more shame disguised as motivation. We need relationships where our sensitivity is understood, our needs can be communicated & care is offered without contempt.

You are still responsible for yourself.

And you are allowed to want a partner who knows how to help you carry a hard day. 🫂

What does genuinely supportive love sound like to you?

Ever know you’re having A Feeling™… but have absolutely no idea what the hell it is yet?

Your body knows something is happening.
Your words just haven’t caught up.

For a lot of neurodivergent people, trauma survivors & big feelers, that gap can be incredibly frustrating — especially when someone is waiting for you to explain yourself right now.

So I made this for you. ✨

Swipe through for some language, tools & ways to communicate even when you don’t have the full answer yet.

And if this hits home, I went much deeper in my newest Like You Chose It essay:

Girl, If I Knew What I Was Feeling, I Would Tell You

It’s free to read, and we’re getting into neurodivergence, trauma, alexithymia, overexplaining vs. losing your words, emotional self-trust & what it means to become more fluent in yourself.

🔗 in bio. 🕯️

Save this for the next time your brain goes blank mid-feeling & send it to someone who might need the language too. ❤️

Neurodivergent “cave time” isn’t just being introverted or antisocial. 👇🏽🧠✨

ADHD & autistic brains can process sensory information, transitions, social cues, emotions & everyday demands differently. Add a trauma history—where your nervous system may already be working overtime to track safety—and your available capacity can disappear faster than you expect.

That can look like not wanting to speak, avoiding texts, becoming sensitive to noise, feeling irritated by questions, struggling to make decisions or desperately needing to be alone after a day you genuinely enjoyed.

Your capacity isn’t determined by how much you can technically accomplish. It’s also about what it costs your brain & body to accomplish it.

I know this intimately as a neurodivergent woman & cPTSD survivor, and professionally as a holistic healer & coach specializing in healing, soul work & wellness for neurodivergent trauma survivors.

The deeper work is learning your unique patterns.

Recognizing depletion earlier. Untangling guilt around rest. Setting energetic boundaries. Practicing different responses instead of automatically returning to the ones that kept you safe or helped you function before. And changing the way you work, love, socialize & care for yourself so you’re not repeatedly recovering from your own life.

Knowing your capacity is self-awareness. Honoring it is a practice.

That’s part of the work I help my clients actually integrate—not just intellectually understand—so those shifts can become part of how they live.

What I teach at Solstice, and what I keep returning to in my own life, is that your whole life can become a ritual when you choose to meet the small moments with presence.

Sifting. Whisking. Pouring. Breathing.

That’s the medicine. ✨

Coffee is my daily love ☕️. But matcha has been part of my world for 15+ years as a slower, more contemplative practice — the bowl I reach for when I want to step out of go-mode and into something quieter.

So when / sent this Ceremonial Starter Set as a thank-you for joining their podcast — where we talked about ritual, living by the moon, embodiment & the small daily practices that shape our nervous systems — it was such a treat to receive.

A few things I appreciate about Matcha Kari 👇🏽

✨ Sourcing the highest-grade matcha straight from Japan since 2007. Their standards for color, aroma & flavor are the real deal — and you can taste the difference.

✨ A mission that goes beyond commerce: share matcha culture, build lifetime relationships, give back more than they take. “A matcha made in heaven,” in their words.

For my matcha-curious girlies — beyond the L-theanine and antioxidants, the ritual itself is what shifts you. Whisking a bowl with intention as you put love into your cup is a moment where the world has to wait. That pause is the practice.

If you’ve been curious about starting, the Ceremonial Organic Starter Set has everything you need to begin.

Thank you & for the gift & for the work you’re doing 🍵

Matcha lovers: what’s your go-to recipe? Put me on. I see you making all the fancy matcha’s at home, but the deepest I go right now is a rose or lavender syrup added to mine 🌹
