The War Room Barbershop
War Room Barbershop
The standard was forged in a literal war room in Afghanistan in 2011 between missions. Discipline. Precision. Brotherhood. It’s preparation.
This isn’t just a haircut.
War Room Barbershop is now officially a full-service operation with laser engraving and Hat Co.
Bad cut?
Custom hat.
Didn’t like the fade?
Laser engraved patch hat.
Neckline too high?
Boom. Richardson with your initials on it.
We don’t make mistakes.
We make accessories. 💈😂
As much as I REALLY wanted to throw camo all over the walls in the War Room… I had to pump the brakes.
Listen… I love the idea in theory.
But I stood there staring at a camo sample for about 45 seconds and started feeling like I just got off a spin class taught by the devil.
There is no way I’m in there trying to cut a straight line while the wall behind you looks like it’s moving.
“Hold still… hold still… I swear your fade just shifted three inches to the left.”
And imagine spinning y’all around in the chair with camo everywhere. We’d have grown men walking out looking like they just rode the Gravitron at the county fair.
I’m trying to deliver precision. Sharp edges. Military-level discipline.
Not vertigo.
If I’m dizzy, your lineup’s dizzy.
And we do NOT do crooked in the War Room.
So we went black walls and white walls. Clean. Focused. No chaos.
Less visual warfare. More surgical ex*****on.
Because at the end of the day, I need to see straight so you can leave straight.
War Room stays intense… just not motion-sickness intense 😂🔥

🚨ATTENTION SALUDA, SC AND CLIENTS:🚨
There comes a point where growth demands honesty.
Iron South Barbering has been incredible. The loyalty, the conversations, the brotherhood, the support from this community — I’ll always be grateful for what we built together.
But if I’m being honest, I never fully felt like I was channeling who I truly am or what got me here.
For a long time I struggled to explain where my standard came from. Why I care so much about precision. Why consistency matters to me. Why discipline isn’t negotiable in my chair.
The truth is, it didn’t start in a barbershop.
It started in 2011 in Kandahar, Afghanistan
I was deployed to Afghanistan as a Combat Engineer Sapper in the United States Army. Between intense missions, in a literal war room, I picked up clippers and started cutting hair for my brothers.
That’s where it began.
In a place where preparation meant survival. Where discipline wasn’t a slogan. Where brotherhood wasn’t optional. I was later humbled to receive two Purple Hearts in combat, but what never left me was the mindset forged there.
The cuts. The standard. The consistency.
It was born in that room.
Iron South was strong. But it never fully told that story.
So it’s time.
Welcome to The War Room Barbershop.
This isn’t about glorifying war.
It’s about honoring preparation.
War Room Barbershop is where men come to prepare.
For business.
For competition.
For leadership.
For fatherhood.
For life.
Precision. Discipline. Brotherhood. Accountability.
When you walk through these doors, you’re not just getting cleaned up.
You’re stepping into the room where it all began.
Let’s get to work.

Saluda, we’re leveling up.
Iron South Barbering Co. will be closed next week as we pack it up and make the move to our new location. This isn’t a shutdown… it’s an upgrade. Bigger vision. Sharper setup. Same standard.
I appreciate every single one of y’all that’s sat in my chair, trusted me with your look, brought your kids in, or just stopped by to talk life. We don’t get to grow without you.
If you’re needing cleaned up before the move, get on the books now. If not, sit tight. We’ll be back firing on all cylinders real soon.
Next chapter loading.

If you go test the waters with another barber and end up coming back needing me to fix it or rebuild what we already had dialed in, just know there might be an extra charge — because undoing someone science experiment takes time.
Also, my loyal clients get first dibs on appointments, so if you wander off and try to come back, a spot isn’t always guaranteed. Loyalty has its perks.
Stay loyal.
Stay local.
Don’t get fired. 🫠😂💈

Relax!! Were not going to $60 😂
BUT, Barber talk for folks wondering why haircut prices are going up.
A lot of people see haircut prices rising and wonder why. Truth is, most folks don’t see what it actually takes to keep a barbershop running day in and day out.
Right now, my cuts start at $25, because before Christmas I actually dropped prices to try and help folks out and see if a lower price point would increase business here in Saluda. I wanted to make sure price wasn’t what kept anyone from coming through the door.
But being honest, lowering the price really didn’t change business much, and it’s actually been tough to keep prices that low while covering the real costs of running the shop.
Just for example, the other day I walked into a barber supply store and bought two combs and one set of clippers, and even with professional discounts my total was $301. That’s just basic tools of the trade. On top of that, I’ve got thousands invested in clippers and trimmers alone, and they constantly need blades, guards, maintenance, and replacements when they wear out from daily use.
Then there’s rent, utilities, booking software, card processing fees, sanitation products, razors, supplies, insurance, licensing, taxes, and everything else that comes with running a professional shop.
And that’s before paying yourself for the time, skill, and long hours it takes to do this work right.
So the upcoming price adjustments aren’t some big jump — they’re simply going back to the original prices we opened with in February 2025. The goal is just to keep quality barber service here locally while also allowing me to build something stable for my family while doing it.
I’m grateful for every person who sits in my chair, and I never take that support lightly. Just wanted to be upfront and transparent about why the change is coming.
As always, thank you for supporting local.
$35/cut for all haircuts upon moving next month with veteran/law/fire/ems/DOT being at $25 still.
💈Big news for Iron South Barbering Co.! 💈
Effective March 2, 2026, Iron South Barbering Co. will be relocating to W. Eutaw Street, in the building formerly occupied by Kneece Investigations. We’ll be sharing the space with Precision Laser Engraving & Hat Co., bringing more services together under one roof.
I’ll continue taking appointments at our current location through approximately February 20th, then we’ll temporarily close to complete the move and get everything set up. Our goal is to reopen and be fully operational in the new location by March 2nd.
The new building is about four times larger than our current space, giving us room to grow and add more services and offerings for the community.
There will be a few small changes coming with the move, and I’ll make sure to share all those details before reopening so everyone knows what to expect.
Also, since I’m balancing barbering with real estate, I’m looking to bring another barber on board to work alongside me or help cover days I’m out of the shop. If you’re interested or know someone who might be, reach out.
Thank you all for the continued support — big things ahead for Iron South.
