Let’s talk Root Dropping and why we do it.🧐

A root drop/smudge/tap, or whatever you would like to call it, is what service we perform on our clients by replicating the color of your natural hair and either:
A.) Trying to create a low maintenance look.
OR
B.) Blending any line of demarcation as maintenance in between blonding appointments.

Some stylist, such as myself, will even use root taps (about 1/4-1/2 an inch) to help your highlights grow out as seamless as possible while keeping the root tap barely even noticeable!

When I say this clients natural hair is already blonde, I mean BLONDE. For this service. The goal was to incorporate more of her natural color in with the blonde that was already present. Here’s what I used to do it.👇🏼

- 9N/9V/9VG for global toning.
- Blondor for the most gentle lift and to help blend the blonde with the natural for a seamless grow out.
