π€©πππ Hello Lasting Transformations Friends!
π Our monthly In-Person Lasting Transformations Bariatric Support Group is this Saturday at 1:00 PM. If you're interested in attending, please reach out to me for details!
π Today I'm celebrating something very special... the creation of the official Lasting Transformations theme song:
π΅ "One Choice at a Time" π΅
This song captures the heart behind Lasting Transformations:
π Loving yourself enough to make the difficult choices.
π Taking uncomfortable actions that lead to lasting change.
π Finding strength through faith, encouragement, accountability, and support.
π Making a difference in the lives of others by reminding them...
β¨ YOU ARE NOT ALONE! β¨
π As someone who has spent over 12 years learning that transformation is about so much more than a number on a scale, this song speaks to the journey of healing, growth, and becoming the person God created us to be.
π΅ I'd love for you to listen and tell me what you think!

πππ Hello Bariatric Friends!
Back in January, I launched the Lasting Transformations Bariatric Support Group, and it has been such a blessing!
We meet:
π± **Virtually on the 1st Thursday of each month @ 7pm
π€ **In-Person on the 3rd Saturday of each month @ 1pm
One of the biggest things I've learned is that so many people who have experienced bariatric surgery share similar struggles. While surgery can be an incredible tool, the lifelong journey of maintaining weight loss, managing emotional eating, changing habits, and staying healthy can still be challenging.
Most of us have tried "everything" before finding a path that works. That's why having support, encouragement, accountability, and a community that truly understands can make such a difference.
If you've had bariatric surgery and would benefit from a faith-based community that "gets it," I would love to connect with you.
π Our next In-Person Lasting Transformations Bariatric Support Group meeting is this Saturday at 1:00 PM...
Our Building Block theme is EMOTIONAL EATING and COPING!
π© Please send me a private message if you'd like more information.
π Remember... YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
Thanks A Bunch!

πππ 12 1/2 Years Since My Life Changed Forever πππ
Twelve and a half years ago, I made a decision that would change the trajectory of my life.
π As I reflect on the last 12 1/2 years, I am reminded that this journey has never been just about losing weight.
π It has been about growing my faith.
π Learning perseverance.
π Discovering purpose through pain.
π Using my experiences to encourage others walking their own transformation journey.
π My journey wasn't meant to end with me.
IT was about gaining life.
π A chance to improve my health.
π A chance to increase my mobility.
π A chance to be present for the people I love.
π A chance to become the person God created me to be.
The lessons learned, the struggles overcome, the victories celebrated, and the comfort I have received are all part of God's plan to encourage and support others through Lasting Transformations.
π Matthew 17:20
If you have faith as small as a mustard seed... nothing will be impossible for you."
β°οΈ Faith can move mountains.
π The journey hasn't been easy.
There have been victories and setbacks.
Mountaintops and valleys.
Days filled with confidence and days filled with doubt.
But one thing I've learned is this:
π Lasting Transformation doesn't happen overnight.
It happens one choice, one habit, one day at a time.
The woman in this photo is not the result of perfection.
She is the result of:
π Showing up when it was hard.
π Choosing consistency over perfection.
π Learning to love herself through the process.
π Falling down and getting back up.
π Trusting God every step of the journey.
The surgery was a tool.
The transformation came from doing the work afterward.
Today, I'm celebrating more than maintaining a 100-pound weight loss for over a decade.
π I'm celebrating resilience.
π I'm celebrating healing.
π I'm celebrating growth.
π I'm celebrating God's faithfulness.
And if you're currently struggling with your own transformation journey; whether it's health, weight loss, grief, relationships, career, or personal growth.... I want you to know this:
π You are not alone.
π Small steps matter.
π Progress is progress.
π Your story is still being written.
π Never Quit!
The life you want is built one decision at a time.
πππ Bee the Best YOU Can Bee!
πππ DO IT ANYWAY!
πππ Lasting Transformations are possible. I am living proof.
πππ Keep moving forward.
πππ Faith can move mountains.
πππ Comfort others with the comfort you've received.
π 2 Corinthians 1:4
"He comforts us ign all our troubles so that we can comfort others..."

πππ NEW WEEK BEGINNINGS β LASTING TRANSFORMATIONS
π Sunday is one of my favorite days of the week.
It's a day to REST, REFLECT, RESET, and PREPARE for the week ahead.
π Time with God through prayer, devotionals, worship, and learning something from the sermon that I can apply to my life.
π Gratitude and reflection on the progress made last week while planning for the week ahead.
π Movement and self-care. Time walking with Faith πΎ and another great day in the pool doing aquatic exercises and stretching. The pool and hot tub continue to help relieve pain while building strength and mobility.
π Meal planning and preparation. Healthy choices don't happen by accident. Success starts with a plan.
π Community and connection. Spending time with family and friends, sharing laughter, encouragement, fellowship, and making new memories together.
π These are some of the habits that help me start the week strong. Do I get it right every Sunday? No, not always.
But Lasting Transformations aren't built on perfection.
π They're built on consistency.
π Small daily habits.
π Intentional choices.
π Grace for ourselves and others.
And today was extra special...
β€οΈπΎβ€οΈ Three years ago, Faith came into my life. What a blessing she has been! Through every season, she has been a faithful companion, daily walking partner, and constant reminder of unconditional love. β€οΈ
ππ»β€οΈππ»My prayer for you as we begin a new week is that you will:
π Put God first
π Practice gratitude
π Keep moving and care for your body, mind, and soul
π Make healthy choices and stay hydrated
π Connect with others
π Take time to reflect, plan and prepare
π YOU are not alone! πππ

πππ 12 1/2 Years Since Gastric Bypass... A Journey of Faith, Health, and Lasting Transformation
π Today I had my bi-annual bariatric follow-up appointment, and I couldn't help but reflect on the incredible journey God has brought me through over the past 12 1/2 years.
ππ»πππ» In December 2013, I made the difficult decision to undergo Gastric Bypass surgery as a tool to help save my life and restore my health. What followed wasn't a quick fixβit was the beginning of a lifelong journey of learning, healing, growth, and transformation.
π By October 2015, I had lost 100 pounds. πππ
π Today, more than 10 years later, I am still maintaining that 100-pound weight loss.
π And perhaps even more importantly, I continue learning how to care for my body, mind, and spirit one day at a time.
The surgery was a tool. The real work came afterward.
π Learning new habits
π Changing my mindset
π Overcoming emotional eating
π Practicing consistency over perfection
π Giving myself grace during difficult seasons
π Choosing to keep going even when it wasn't easy
π There have been victories, setbacks, celebrations, tears, health challenges, and countless lessons along the way. Through it all, God has remained faithful.
ππ»βοΈππ» I am incredibly grateful for the strength, courage, and perseverance He has provided throughout this journey.
π 2 Corinthians 1:4
"He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us."
ππ»βοΈππ» This verse became my purpose verse because it reminds me that our struggles are never wasted. The lessons we learn, the challenges we overcome, and the healing we experience can become a source of hope, encouragement, and support for others walking a similar path.
π This post isn't about boasting or drawing attention to myself. It's about giving God the glory for what He has done in my life and offering encouragement to anyone who may be facing a challenge of their own.
π If sharing my story helps even one person believe that change is possible, then it's worth sharing.
π I know firsthand that transformation isn't easy. Whether it's weight loss, health challenges, grief, career transitions, relationship struggles, or simply trying to become the person God created you to be, the journey can feel overwhelming at times.
π That's why I believe community matters. We were never meant to walk these journeys alone.
π One of the greatest blessings to come from my own experience has been the opportunity to create the Lasting Transformations Bariatric Support Groupβa place where people can find encouragement, accountability, understanding, and support from others who truly understand the journey.
π Together we celebrate victories, navigate setbacks, share lessons learned, and remind one another that progress is possible. Sometimes we simply need someone to walk beside us and say, *"You've got this. Keep going."*
π If my story inspires you to take one small step toward a healthier, stronger, or more purposeful life, then sharing it has served its purpose.
π If you're struggling with your health, your weight, your mindset, or simply navigating a difficult season, don't give up.
**Small daily choices create lasting transformations.**
π Progress matters.
π Consistency matters.
π YOU matter.
π And no matter where you are in your journey today, there is always hope for tomorrow.
**π You are not alone! π**
π "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

πππ CONSISTENCY β Small Daily Habits Create Lasting Transformations πππ
Making the decision to be consistent with small daily habits is often the beginning of successful and sustainable transformation.
This week marked my first week back in the pool focusing on healing, recovery, and rebuilding strength. Through aquatic exercises, stretching, walking, arm and leg work, core strengthening, squats, and step exercises, I've been gradually increasing my repetitions each day.
π Week 1 Complete: 5 out of 7 days! π
Was I motivated every day? No.
Was I pain-free? Definitely not.
Did I feel like going every day? Nope.
π But I showed up anyway.
Sometimes success isn't about doing something perfectly. It's about continuing to show up and making the next healthy choice.
Every workout may not seem significant by itself, but small daily habits repeated consistently over time create powerful results.
π One workout at a time.
π One choice at a time.
π One day at a time.
That's how Lasting Transformations happen.
Consistency is Key.
DO IT ANYWAY! πͺπππ

πππ PUT YOURSELF ON THE CALENDAR
How often do we schedule appointments, meetings, errands, and obligations for everyone else... but forget to schedule time for ourselves?
One of the biggest mindset shifts in creating lasting transformation is realizing that taking care of yourself is not selfish... it's necessary!
π Put yourself on the calendar.
π Plan your day with intention.
π Make time for your health, your healing, your faith, your rest, and your recovery.
Remember:
β
Consistency is more important than perfection.
Small steps taken daily create lasting results over time.
β
Progress doesn't require giant leaps.
Sometimes the most important step is simply showing up.
β
Down days are part of the journey.
Rest is not failure. Recovery is not weakness.
β
There is NO shame in taking an intentional break.
Listen to your body. Honor what you need. Then begin again when you're ready.
β
Pace yourself.
Transformation is a marathon, not a sprint. Sustainable change happens one choice, one workout, one meal, and one day at a time.
β
Love yourself enough to care for yourself.
Speak to yourself with the same grace and compassion you would offer a friend.
π At Lasting Transformations, we believe:
π« No Shame
π« No Guilt
π« No Comparisons
π« No "Shoulds"
Instead...
π Choose Grace.
π Choose Progress.
π Choose Consistency.
π Choose Yourself.
Today, I chose to put myself on the calendar.
What is ONE thing you can do today to invest in your health, healing, or happiness?
π YOU ARE NOT ALONE! πππ
