Hi guys I'm backkkk!!! Back from a little reset… and no worries, I didn’t move to Puerto Vallarta permanently… yet. 😂☀️

As much as I love what I do behind the chair, balance is everything. Some people live to work… I truly believe in working to LIVE. The little moments, the sunsets, the laughter, the memories, the pause from reality… those things matter too. Resets are so important for the soul, and I’m beyond thankful to experience these special moments while still doing what I love every day.

Now it’s back to reality for the next two days before I take off again ✈️😂 and I’ll be back in the salon tomorrow! All calls, texts, and messages will be returned tomorrow. Thank you guys always for the love, patience, and support. 🫶

15 years. Wow.... my goodness ❤️

Last month marked 15 years of being in business… and honestly, with how busy life has been between traveling, education, and working behind the chair, I completely forgot my actual anniversary until after the fact lol.

What’s even crazier is that I opened my very first studio almost a month before I even graduated cosmetology school. I still remember people telling me I would never make it unless I worked in a traditional salon first. But something in me believed I could build something different — and I took the risk anyway.
I had my private studio for 7 years before eventually opening my small boutique space, Rick Wright Salon. What started as just a dream for myself slowly became a home for other stylists too — a place where people could build their own businesses while being part of something bigger together. That part means so much to me.

The truth is, this business was built almost entirely through word of mouth. Through loyal clients. Through support. Through people believing in me enough to sit in my chair, tell their friends, come back for years, and become like family along the way. I will never take that for granted.
To every client, friend, stylist, supporter, and person who has ever rooted for me — thank you. Truly. You helped build this.

Being a small business owner comes with so many highs and lows that people don’t always see behind the scenes. There are sacrifices, pressure, uncertainty, exhaustion, and moments where you question everything. But there’s also purpose, growth, passion, connection, and the reward of waking up every day doing something you genuinely love.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned over these 15 years, it’s this: take the risk. Bet on yourself. Even when people don’t understand the vision yet. You never know what’s waiting for you on the other side of fear.
I’m beyond grateful to still be growing, evolving, giving back, educating, creating, and doing what I love every single day.

Here’s to 15 years of passion, purpose, people… and whatever comes next. 🖤✨
