Ping's Sichuan Kitchen A Taste of Home in San Antonio Celebrates 1 Year Anniversary

The Stone Oak Ladies Business Association helped kick off a one-year anniversary for Ping’s Sichuan Kitchen with a ribbon cutting on May 16, 2026.

Since opening in May 2025, Ping’s Sichuan Kitchen has redefined authentic Sichuan dining at 2339 E Evans Rd #103, San Antonio, Texas 78259. Inspired by founder Joanne Xia’s childhood in the mountain city of Chongqing, cooking family recipes with her grandmother, the restaurant serves as a vibrant culinary bridge where Texas meets China.

The kitchen specializes in from-scratch Sichuan cuisine, blending traditional heritage and spice with fresh, local Texan ingredients to create a genuine "taste of home." Customer favorites are Ping’s Boiled Spicy Beef, Walnut Shrimp and the Hui Guo Rou (double cooked pork belly with vegetables and spice), which many reviewers claim is the best in the city. Beyond the bold flavors, guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the exceptionally kind, thoughtful service provided by the staff. Open daily from 11 AM to 9 PM, Ping’s offers a healthy, inspired menu that brings the essence of family, tradition, and spice to every plate in a truly welcoming setting.
