One of my favorite things to do when I have a little extra time is connect with fellow wedding vendors and invite them into my world for a bit. ✨

This time, I got to play hair and makeup with a local photographer, Photographer, and introduce her to a little vintage-inspired beauty. Not necessarily her everyday style, which made it even more fun to introduce her to my world for a little bit!

It’s such a great way to create, get to know each other, and build those relationships so when we eventually end up working a wedding together, it already feels like working with a friend. Connections are what life is all about. Building relationships throughout your community and supporting each other. I love it!

And really…who doesn’t love an excuse to get all glammed up?

I just couldn’t in good conscience keep styling without addressing the elephant in the room. Her T shirt would have been a big issue for her when it came time to change into her dress at home. There’s no way it would’ve come off nicely without destroying her iconic style! So I came in clutch with a T from my son’s collection (he would’ve wanted her to have it) and cut the neck so she’d have no chance of hair disruption later! YAY! We’re full service round here! 🤣
All joking aside, I always advise wearing a button down or wide neck shirt, perhaps a robe, to any event hairstyling session. Save yourself the trouble later. I’ve had clients opt to cut off their shirts after a style to avoid messing up their hair when they forgot to read the ‘event tips’ sheet I share with all incoming clients. The struggle is real ladies! 😂 Button down shirts, tank tops or large necks… that’s the way to go! 🫶🏼

I reached out to her with this inspo of creating a custom rainbow hair extension piece for the CAT HAUS Collective LOVE LOUD shoot I was styling and she knocked it out of the park for me! I had a vision for this look and she left no crumbs! She even took it to the next level by adding in the cheetah print… I was blown away cuz I’m mildly obsessed with cheetah/leopard print. had to pick up my jaw off the floor when my vision came to life on the lovely burlesque diva Desdemona! I mean…. Girl!!!! 🌈🐆🌊
