"Do what you can with what you have" is more than just motivational glurge. It's literally how you shake out of a "freeze" trauma response. Wiggle your pinkie finger. Let the wiggling spread to your ring finger. Breathe, & just focus on letting the wiggle spread, inch by inch.

We had a nice smaller group at this morning’s group meeting. A lot of new faces.

Spoiler: your triggers are gonna shift. You'll discover new ones. You'll find yourself triggered by things that don't seem to have ANYTHING to do with your trauma.

Don't panic. This happens— to EVERY survivor.

Breathe; blink; focus; & remember: this isn't your first rodeo.

A remarkable rooftop moment in Lima, Peru is touching hearts around the world after a security camera captured an extraordinary act of compassion between a crow and a struggling stray cat. 🐦❤️🐱

The footage showed a frail gray cat lying weak and motionless on a rooftop, clearly exhausted and barely able to move.

Then, something incredible happened.

A crow landed nearby carrying a piece of bread.

Instead of keeping the food for itself, the bird gently placed it in front of the starving cat, stepping back and allowing the weakened animal to eat.

Over the next hour, the crow returned again and again, each time bringing more food and patiently watching over the fragile cat.

The following day, neighbors noticed the crow had returned once more, staying close as if continuing to care for its unlikely companion.

The emotional bond between the two animals appeared to go beyond instinct, offering a rare and powerful glimpse into compassion in the natural world.

Thankfully, the cat has since been taken in for medical care and recovery.

Yet even after the rescue, the loyal crow reportedly continued returning, as though unwilling to abandon its vulnerable friend.

This extraordinary story is a moving reminder that kindness can emerge in the most unexpected ways, sometimes from places we least expect.

Because compassion knows no species.
