Behind the scenes at SAVAGE BEE-CHES, the work is wonderfully hands-on. Our beeswax salves, cleansing bars, scrubs, and candles are made in small batches, poured, shaped, wrapped, and left to set naturally.

New skincare batches are being prepared now, and we’re getting ready to show you the real process from before setting to after setting, whenever each batch is ready. No mystery, no factory feel, just beautiful beeswax craftsmanship made with care in San Diego.

Our blog, “Beyond the Hive: Why Beeswax Skincare & Candles Are Taking Over San Diego Homes,” is now live. We’ll be sharing why beeswax belongs in more than the hive, from nourishing salves and cleansing bars to warm, handmade candles for your home.

Not every bee needs a hive, and not every bee makes honey. 🐝

Here at SAVAGE BEE-CHES, we love our honeybees. But San Diego’s native bees need our attention too.

Our ongoing Bee San Diego campaign supports native bee habitat and community education because healthy neighborhoods need more than flowers for a weekend. Native bees need safe places to nest, pesticide-conscious gardens, and food sources that bloom across the seasons.

A few simple ways to help:
• Plant native flowers
• Leave a little bare soil or natural plant material for nesting
• Skip unnecessary pesticides
• Add a bee hotel, and keep it clean and maintained
• Share what you learn with a neighbor

The honeybees in this brood inspection are a reminder that pollination is a community effort. Honeybees, native bees, butterflies, and other pollinators all play a part in keeping our local ecosystems growing.
