The factory’s closed. Manny’s face is on its way. 👀

China is on national holiday until October 7th, and as soon as my manufacturer is back, I’ll have photos of Manny’s final head in my hands.

To everyone who found us through the vintage doll video, welcome to the family. Your love and doll stories meant the world to me. ❤️

Here’s the deal: the Founding 500 see Manny’s face first. Everybody else sees it after. It’s still early to join, and the link is in my bio.

Now tell me: what do you think his face looks like? Best guess gets a shoutout on reveal day. 👇🏾

She’s not pretty. She’s proof. 🧵 Thread for hair, three babies at her waist, made by hand when stores didn’t sell dolls that looked like us. From thread… to curls. Do you know her story? 👇🏾

The partition’s up. 🖤

What’s behind this box is for the Founding 500 only. Not the timeline. Not the group chat. Just the ones who believed in Manny before they ever saw him.

Every box is numbered 1–500, and in November, Emmanuel Rodriguez is coming back to San Diego to sign each one in gold ink. ✍🏾✨

The public sees Manny next week. Founding 500, check your inbox. 👀

Not perfectly in sync, but perfectly us 😂 Manny is the real-life muse behind our Men of Culture doll, and let’s just say the doll got the smoother moves.

He said it best: you need someone in the room who’s Filipino to make a beautiful Filipino doll. His doll honoring his mother, a 1976 pageant queen, is stunning. You can feel the pride in every detail.

That same truth applies to us. When our hair is designed without us in the room, you get braids in the back, puffs in the front, and a hair-show sculpture in the middle. Three styles. One head. That’s not how we wear our crowns.

This isn’t shade. It’s the reason Curls Poppin’ Dolls exists. Black dolls, created by a Black man, with natural hair done right.

We’ve always been in the room. Now we’re building it.

On air with KPBS! 🎙️

Manny and I sat down with KPBS to talk about Men of Culture and why our boys deserve to see themselves on the shelf. I did the talking first... but let’s be honest, Manny stole the show. 😄

Grateful to KPBS for helping us share this story with San Diego and beyond. 🖤

Meet the Men of Culture. 👑

For too long, dolls of color have almost always meant girls. Our boys, our brothers, our fathers and grandfathers were rarely part of the story.

So we built a whole line for them.

Men of Culture is a doll line made entirely of men of color, starting with Manny. He’s confident, stylish, rooted in culture, and made so our boys can finally see themselves on the shelf, in the toy box, and in the story.

This isn’t a side character. This is the main character. 🖤
