THIS is a perfect example of my Natural Bridal Makeup Style. Olivia requested Airbrush and a Natural Strip Lash add-on. My typical Bridal Client wears little to no makeup at al, on a daily basis. It is important for them to look like themselves on their wedding day. So the goal ends up being that they look like their best selves! I make sure they feel comfortable. I start with less of everything and build up. I Iike to ensure the Makeup doesn't feel to heavy. They want their makeup to mimic skin, a nice glowy finish. Even a little makeup is too much sometimes. So I love coming up with looks that make my Brides feel extra beautiful, in the simplest ways!

The fact that my job is to enhance my brides (already gorgeous) features to look and feel like her best self, on one of the biggest moments in her life, really makes me feel important and gives me such pride to know that I'm literally even in these photos. Photos she'll look back on forever. How lucky am I? I get to spend the entire morning with my Bride and her Bridal Party while we just have the best time ever. Until the moment we are finished with hair and makeup and I give my Bride a big hug and "see you later", at that moment, I am overwhelmed with every emotion you could think of. Why? Because my job was to get her ready to see her fiancé at the altar just moments later. One of the best and most memorable days of my Brides' lives... and I got to be apart of it. This job comes with a lot of trust and responsibility and I'm honored every single time a Bride wants to book with me. I say it every chance I get, I love what I do and I really do hold my Brides very near and dear to my heart forever.

They say success is reached when you are able to defy the statistics. 20% of small businesses fail within the first year - I managed to stick it out. 30% of small businesses will have failed by the end of their 2nd year - went on to my 3rd year in business which ended as the best year thus far. 50% of small businesses fail within the first 5 years - today marks 5 years and it doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon for me. 5 years ago I quit my job and I haven't looked back ever since. I have not had a boss in 5 years. I have not had a steady paycheck in 5 years. 5 years later and I am as passionate as ever and confident that I will support the next statistic ahead - I will be part of the 30% of small business owners that make it to the 10 years mark. I'm already half way there. I am proud to be part of the 40% of small businesses owned by women in the US. Part of the 4.65 Billion Businesses that are owned by latinos in the US. I have made a name for myself in this Billion-Dollar Beauty Industry and competitive San Diego Market. I have never been more proud of myself than I have been in these last few years - genuinely brings me to tears when I think about it. The happiness that fill my heart knowing that I make my parents and siblings proud is the fire that keeps me going. They say when you love what you do for a living, you never work a day in my life. 5 years ago I quit my job, and I haven't worked another day since. Thank you to the support from EVERY SINGLE PERSON who booked a service, referred me to a friend, shared one of my posts, liked one of my photos, the list goes on and on. It looks like it came straight from a magazine. And more importantly, reassures me that I paired this hair style to my Bride 's ( ) liking quite perfectly - Soft, romantic, effortless, laid-back and just really, really pretty in general. Definitely one of personal, all time TOP FAVORITES!

Nothing eases my curly-clients more than the confidence and knowledge I have in working with all hair textures. I absolutely love that my client chose to incorporate a style using her beautiful, natural curls. She gave me the creative freedom to choose her style myself, trusting I'd be able to give her exactly what she didn't even knew she wanted to begin with.

Textured Low Bun for today's Bride. I love the look of a soft, romantic and seemingly effortless up-do. Being that I specialize in the more natural side of Hair and Makeup, styles like these pair wonderfully with a Soft Natural Makeup Look - especially for this Bride in particular who usually wears her hair down and straight. Generally, I would say that only about 40% of my brides request updos for their big day. Most of my clients usually ask for an all down or half up hair style. I LOVE updos because they really do add an extra sense of Glam for any special event. Hair styling has evolved so much over the years and I love that we are no longer afraid of texture, flyaways or fullness. I remember the days of slick and sleek up-dos with not a hair out of place. These softer more romantic styles help ease my clients into the world of updos, with face framing fringes and loose tendril like curls poking out in all of the right places.

My name is Destiny Ruiz. I am the Owner of Unlimited Beauty Studio. I started my business in NOV 2016 after 6 years in the industry. I'm proud of the time I took before owning my own business to experience and learn as much about the Beauty industry as possible. I needed to learn from the mistakes of others and my own along the way to really understand how I wanted my business to represent this industry and myself in the best ways possible. My industry ultimately represents Beauty. Something that is defined so differently by so many different people. My purpose and passion for this industry came from really understanding what Beauty meant to me and how I could help define it to the best of my ability. My recent journey of personal growth and development definitely solidified how I wanted to represent beauty and how I wanted to be portrayed as a brand. I realized that true beauty really did come from within, and that my job as a "Beautician" wasn't to create beauty, it was the enhance the beauty that was already there in my clients. My life purpose is helping people. I help people bring out their inner beauty. Their is nothing more beautiful than a smile that represents confidence and self-love.

As an entrepreneur, you are the brand behind the business. Your business reflects your values and  your personality. Your face is the representation of your company as a whole. There is no distinction between your brand and you. You are your brand and your business is you. It does not exist without you. With that being said, I believe in shining beautifully from within. I help my clients feel this sense of true beauty and happiness by giving them a full-on experience, not just a service. Unlimited Beauty Studio represents bringing out the true unlimited beauty within each and every one of us.

Most of my clients now were also there in the beginning (2013) when I started building my clientele. These clients turned to long-time friends which was when I realized that this isn't just a job to me, this was my happiness.
