San Diego Restaurant Week is coming September 13–20, and this year there’s a brand-new spot we’re especially curious about. 🌿

Goop Kitchen has just opened its first full-service dine-in location at One Paseo, with a focus on thoughtfully sourced ingredients, nutrient-dense meals, and food made without refined sugars, seed oils, or processed additives.

That whole philosophy feels very familiar to us.

Ingredients matter. Sourcing matters. What you choose to put in and on your body matters.

Restaurant Week is always such a fun excuse to explore somewhere new, support local restaurants, and enjoy what San Diego does so well.

Goop is definitely on our list. 👀

Grandparents come in all shapes and sizes, and every family’s story looks a little different.

But maybe the greatest gift we can give one another, grandparent, parent, child, aunt, uncle, or friend, is simply connection.

To really see one another.
To enjoy one another.
To laugh together, share stories, make memories, and love each other right where we are.

Because when you strip everything else away, relationships are the sweet spot of this life. Two people connecting through love, whether for a lifetime or simply in one beautiful moment.

Today we celebrate the grandparents, the grandchildren, and all the generations in between. May we never underestimate what it means to simply show up and love one another. ❤️

Labor Day is a U.S. federal holiday that honors American workers and the contributions they’ve made to the country’s strength and prosperity.

It’s celebrated on the first Monday in September. In 2026, Labor Day is Monday, September 7.

It began with the labor movement in the late 1800s, when workers were fighting for things we largely take for granted today, reasonable working hours, safer workplaces, better wages, and time away from work. Congress made Labor Day a federal holiday in 1894.

Today, most of us also think of it as the unofficial end of summer, barbecues, beaches, family gatherings, and one last long summer weekend. ☀️
