This is midway through a transformation of taking my clients hair from a dark permanent color into Blonde. As you may be able to tell, her final result is not yet fully even. That is part of the color correction process. Sometimes a process can go through several sessions to remove color in a healthy way. Its best not to rush the process. and then, of course, there is “reverse Ombre” in which the base of the hair starts out as light and transitions to dark at the ends. ..its all dependent on your unique interpretation.

All in all, it is typically easier to maintain Balayage as you will not experience a harsh line of demarcation as the light grows down.
