Sometimes your natural color doesn’t need to be changed completely, it just needs a little revamp.

For this one I did a full head of teasy-lights using Schwarzkopf Professional USA XXL lightener. I love this technique when I want brightness without losing all of that pretty natural dimension.

Teasing the sections before I foil them helps diffuse the blonde as it gets closer to the root, so instead of a solid line of highlights, you get that really soft blend with her natural color still peeking through. Then I can focus more of the lightener through the mids + ends where I actually want the brightness.

And I still put my teasy-lights in foils because I want that extra lift. The tease gives me the blend, the foil gives me the brightness.

The end result is brighter, dimensional, super blended and still looks like HER hair just with a whole lot more life. 🤎

Working with your natural color instead of trying to cover every bit of it will forever be one of my favorite ways to create a lived-in blonde.

Nothing like a big chop to bring the hair back to life ✂️

We took this grown-out shape into a blunt, lived-in bob with just enough texture to keep it from feeling too perfect. The shorter length instantly made her hair look fuller, healthier, and gave it SO much more movement.

And because a bob doesn’t have to mean flat 👏 I styled her with Schwarzkopf Professional USA OSiS Grip Volume Mousse to add body, grip + that effortless piece-y texture without making the hair feel stiff or overdone.
