Hello there,

I've got some big news-this February, I will be out for 4-8 weeks starting 2/24/26 to get my knee repaired. My estimated return to salon date is 4/8/26 or 4/22/26 and is subject to change earlier or later than these dates. Please be patient with me, I will most likely still be in a leg brace, moving a bit slower, getting back in the flow, and sitting versus standing.

Before I go, I want to make sure that you are taken care of! Please read for further instructions on scheduling your appointments before and after 2/24/26.
Your patience, accommodation, and holding space for me to heal are much appreciated and will not go unnoticed. Because of this, starting 2/1/26, I will be available for appointments 7 days a week!

You all know I am pretty quick to respond to texts/calls, but if you don't hear from me in 48 hours, please use the link provided below for hassle-free scheduling. If you don't find the exact time and date online, please go ahead and schedule something that is close to what you want, then text me to let me know what other dates you prefer, so that I can adjust it on my end before confirming the appointment. When you have something scheduled, it will allow me to be able to accept the appointment or change it based on your needs. I am always a phone call away, so please don't hesitate to call me.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted about myself, so thank you for being here. Let me reintroduce myself!

I’m Vy — a Vietnamese-American hair specialist based in San Diego. I’m multi-passionate, love trying new things, growing personally, and seeing life from different perspectives.

I’m truly a specialist who does it all — haircuts, root/bleach touch-ups, hair extensions, low-toxic smoothing treatments, and event hair and makeup (a healthier alternative to traditional Brazilian Blowouts). Helping clients look and feel their best while keeping their hair healthy is what I love most.

A little about me personally: I’m a proud cat mom to Sun & Moon. I’m an active soul with too many hobbies to pick just one — lately my go-tos have been Mat Pilates, yoga sculpt, bouldering, the gym, golfing, billiards, and hiking. Growing up I was very introverted and gravitated to running, art, and monkey bars — things I could do alone. Fitness has always been my quiet outlet through life’s intense moments.

Like many of you, I’ve dealt with self-doubt, gotten caught up in life’s negativity, and felt a touch of impostor syndrome. Things haven’t felt the same since the pandemic, but this year I’m focusing on speaking life into the things I really want. I’d love to have you join me on this journey of growth and self-discovery.

Are you looking for an updo stylist that can also do your hair extensions for a wedding or a night out?
For this look, I used clip in extensions because those are quick for a updos. Let me know which extensions you like to use in the comments!

Some 𝗧𝗜𝗣𝗦 to prepare your hairstyling service:

1. 24 hours beforehand: Shampoo and dry the hair the day before. Use a volumizing/light weight shampoo and apply conditioner only to mid-shaft and ends of hair.

2: For curly/frizzy hair, try using a round brush to smooth or doing only 1-2 light passes with a flat iron. Note: straightening your hair might make the curls less effective

3: Use a light weight leave in conditioner spray/oil, heat protectant and volume mouse or spray (optional). Try not to use too much hair products.

With many drastic economic and worldwide changes, I have implemented new, labor-intensive services to fit my Luxury Extensions + Hair-color brand.
