Public service announcement: We don’t love that new clients are forced to wait for months, at times, to align their schedule with ours. We are in the service industry for all intensive purposes and always strive for excellence… some circumstances are simply beyond our control and we will never jeopardize anyone’s health or safety to avoid a negative review. Perspective is a powerful tool and while we reflect daily on how we can be better (we can ALWAYS be better… all of us!) we are also content in knowing we are here FOR and BECAUSE of you 🫶🏻 that, we will never take for granted. Salotto Salon in Rancho Bernardo is training and evolving the expertise of team-oriented Stylists who are striving to learn MORE before beginning their career behind the chair. Part-time assistant position with opportunity to advance to a full or part-time Junior Stylist position upon completion of training, based on availability.

Applicants need to be self-motivated, team-oriented, eager to learn, LICENSED COSMETOLOGISTS who are looking to expand and perfect their skills in the beauty industry. We have trained dozens of stylists over the course of 15 years and strive to empower you become the best Stylist you can be with in depth knowledge of styling, color theory, formulating and placement, precision and creative hair cutting, hair extension placement and most importantly an excellence in customer service and a passion for our clients.

This position requires part-time availability Tuesday-Saturday, with valuable training sessions offered on Mondays and the opportunity for growth.

The comeback is always stronger than the setback 💪🏼

While the purple tier is still not the best status for our county (we can do better, San Diego!), it is a status that allows our salon to get back to the business of brightening spirits and offering a safe space for all things beauty. Have you ever sat back and thought about all that your hair has seen you through?? I’m a personal believer that hair holds “energy”, hence why we strive for a change in color or a big chop when we experience a breakup, go for a big interview, experience loss.... or this year, any number of emotions that we have each endured. This babe was days away from her extension maintenance and let me tell you, as an nurse in the in San Diego’s battleground hospital THIS HAIR AS SEEN IT ALL. In this photo her hair caught a glimpse of hope with a vaccine that we all hope will allow us to return to some sense of “normalcy”. I find this photo so powerful as we approach the closing of 2020. That 20” of installed hair had a prior life and a life now that this queen never thought she would see in her medical career. But yet, that hair still holds strong.... providing comfort and security admidst the chaos. Hair can be such a transformative “accessory”. Let’s face it, clothes you take off before bed. Shoes too. But hair is the one accessory you wake up wearing every day ☀️ Treat yourself (and your hair) with the grace, gratitude and respect you (AND YOUR HAIR!) deserve. Share this with someone deserving of such a reminder. Because as we tell our boys, sharing is caring and we could all use a little extra care these days 💕
