Believer's Weekend

this is maria,maria is going to be 57 on march 31st.she has been on the street many years.you can tell she has been through a lot her face and hands show the wear and tear of life.maria was a beautiful soul but also a lil tortured.im sure everything she has seen and been through has impacted her and messed with her a bit..our first encounter with her was her running down the sidewalk yelling at two men she was cussing and cursing up a storm.as she was telling it the two men tried taking advantage of her grabbing and assaulting herald she wasn't having it.it was a lil scary for the young ones with us but also kinda funny cause she would curse up a storm then say sorry to the lil ones then start dancing and singing mexican songs..when we asked her if we could take some pics she said yes ran to her umbrella put on her hat and danced her way back to us.you can tell back in the day she was as we say in spanish firme..i mean look at those nike cortez ..half way to us she does the gangster pose ..she was thankful for everything we gave her she laughed with us danced with us and cried..she has had a hard life ..and her encounter made us realize how hard it is for a woman on the streets..the streets are murder and hard no place for kids and woman..she was at this location cause she was going to do laundry across the street early morning...before we left she hugged me and then started to dance and sing and invited us all to her bday party at her umbrella on march 31st she said she is a great cook and is cooking a big dinner so make sure we come hungry,,she also said for her bday gift she wants a bra 34b ..that made me smile...we went back the next day to celebrate her bday with her wanted to take her a cake and her bra but she was gone..we searched for awhile but no sign of her or her umbrella..just pray she is safe...there is a song from the mambo kings movie, beautiful maria of my soul...and that song pops into my head when i see the pic of her blowing us a kiss...every encounter and every story changes my heart and soul..its no secret i have been heartbroken with the world and humanity..but the more i meet people on the streets the more i love the should God created..this universe is filled with so many amazing souls go out and meet one give a hand and in turn let them touch your soul...thanks to frank for capturing her soul so beautifuly and thank you to everyone who has given you are changing lives and giving hope..❤️❤️❤️

As a 25 year Television and Film Industry hairstylist Jennifer Guerrero has worked in all aspects of the entertainment industry. From Film/ Episodic T.V to Multi camera sitcom and Live Variety shows Jennifer has mastered the true art behind all the mediums this Industry has to offer.
A Los Angeles native & resident her career began in the early 1990's first styling hair for the early morning local news and then onto Soap Operas and game shows. Soon after she moved into all media including movies made for Television, commercials, print work all while maintaining a strong salon clientele.
At the tender age of 25 Jennifer earned 2 Emmy Award nominations in the same year.
Now a 10 time Emmy Award nominee and 3 time Emmy Award winner she continues to push the limits and challenge herself on all creative levels.
Her next adventure in her career is bringing her 25 years of experience to the classroom in the form of hands-on educational workshops focused on extreme hairstyling for all skill levels. Jennifer’s passion for long hair, up and styling is evident in her work and she’s excited to share her secrets with you!
