i don’t even know where to begin. you are seriously the sweetest boy my heart could burst. i feel so blessed that i get to be your mama! i can’t even remember what life without you was like + you’ve only been a part of our little fam for a year!

you’ve brought so much joy and light into our lives. the boys, babbo and i are obsessed with you! you’re so silly, you sing and dance when i sing, you love food, playing with your brothers is your favorite, you’re beyond chill and you love water (surfer in the making!) 🌊

i am soaking up every tiny moment with you because these days go way too fast.

recently ezra has been scared of the dark, so the other night as i laid beside him in bed i told him — you have nothing to be afraid of.

then last night as my head hit the pillow all these worries swarmed my mind. worries about the future, about my boys, worries of the unknown, am i doing enough, am i a good enough mama, wife, friend… the list goes on.

but just as i started feeling anxious, i heard a still small voice inside saying back to me those same words i told ezra — you have nothing to be afraid of.

i was quickly reminded that the One who knows it all, the Creator of the universe has us in the palm of His hand. He is with us + cares for us and that is reason enough to live in peace.

Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. 1 Peter‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭

Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice. Isaiah‬ ‭41:10‬ ‭

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.

creating these boys was everything i never knew i needed. it formed a bond that goes beyond my understanding. lately, i find myself laying in bed with tears in my eyes because i would give anything to go back and hold each of them as a tiny human one more time. i replay memories and wonder how time has gone so fast. watching them grow up is the most bitter sweet part of motherhood that i don’t think anyone could have prepared me for. i am excited to see all that they become but i want to be able to hold them in my arms forever. whoever said the days are long but the years are short knew what they were talking about. there are no words to describe the love i have in my heart for each one of my boys. it is the greatest gift to be their mama, one i will treasure for a lifetime.
