12 years licensed. 🥹🤍
12 years ago today, I officially became a licensed cosmetologist, and whew… this career has taken me places I never could’ve imagined.
Over the years, I’ve gone from simply loving hair to developing a deeper understanding of healthy hair, hair and scalp health, and the science behind what we do. I’ve had the opportunity to grow beyond the chair by educating other beauty professionals, working with brands, representing products I believe in, and using what I’ve learned throughout my career to help others become more knowledgeable and confident in theirs.
I’ve evolved as a stylist, educator, business owner, and woman, and I’m still learning.
There have been beautiful seasons, challenging seasons, lessons I had to learn the hard way, and plenty of moments that made me ask myself what’s next. 😂 But through all of it, cosmetology has given me a foundation that I’ll always be grateful for.
Now, 12 years later, I’m excited about what this next chapter looks like for By T.Anngee, Beauty • Wellness • Community. My vision for what I can contribute to this industry and to my community continues to grow, and I’m excited to keep evolving with it.
Thank you to every client, student, fellow stylist, brand, friend, family member, and person who has supported me throughout these 12 years. I spent time visiting CosmoProf locations throughout San Diego County, connecting with store teams and providing additional education on Integrity RX.
I really enjoy opportunities that allow me to use my knowledge outside of the salon, meet new people, and continue growing as an educator.
And apparently… encounter a ghost along the way. 😭👻😂

I’ve always promoted healthy hair in my career without feeding into texturism. I wanted to create something that encourages people to change the narrative of what “good hair” really means.
