When someone has a shorter or blunt haircut, adding a small amount of long extensions can leave the ends looking disconnected—often called the “mushroom effect.” That’s because the natural hair doesn’t have enough density to transition into the extensions.
For this client, we used 300 grams of tape-in extensions to create enough fullness for a balanced, natural blend.
Keep in mind that 300g isn’t the right amount for everyone. The amount of hair you need depends on:
• Your current hair length
• Your hair density
• Your haircut
• Your desired result
That’s why every extension consultation is customized. My goal isn’t to sell you more hair—it’s to recommend the amount that will give you the most natural-looking transformation.
Tape-in maintenance:
• Move-up every 6–8 weeks
• Hair can typically be reused with proper care
