Reading “Who Owns the Sun” by Stacy Chbosky to my son as part of his curriculum. Five in a row. 1st time I read the end of this book, tears.... 2nd time tears... 3rd and today 4th time thinking I’d be over since I’ve read it for the 4th time now... nope.... tears again. That last page is just so sad. The entire page just right away fills me with heart ache and sadness. And just all the movies and things I’ve seen and read about slavery flash through my mind. Policing myself in their position and the last slavery movie I saw in 2013 “12 years a slave”. I saw it at the grove and could not stop sobbing. I had to walk out. It was too much for me. A scene was almost as bad as the one in “Passion of the Christ”. . . I’m so thankful at least that extreme of slavery is over.

My biggest wish is for everyone to come to their senses. To wake up to everything that’s going on. To appreciate life and themselves. To love. To remember to be kind to others and to remember to teach and raise your kids to be kind loving and strong. Strong in every way. And to value themselves. To always know their worth and remember where they came from. To remember to give thanks and to appreciate all the little things. And to be present. That’s one of the many mistakes this society has made. Everyone multitasking, working all day, worrying about the future and how they’re gonna pay this or buy that. Forgetting to prioritize time with their little ones/ older ones/ loved ones. Wasting time with things that really don’t matter. Anyway. We’re not meant to multitask... it’s actually super harmful to our central nervous system. Practice MONOTASKING. This will actually activate your parasympathetic nervous system and help you heal. Quiet time too. Quiet the mind.

If we prioritize creating peace in our overactive minds and endurance in our spirits, then we have a better chance of surviving.

Men... I encourage you this week to stop being lazy daters and get in touch with your feminine side. ALL men and women have a masculine and a feminine. And men... choose your ladies wisely! Sooo important.

This week I want to encourage women to let her feminine presence out. To put away that hard, strong, I don’t need a man, I have to get things done energy. Feel.... be present, be soft and speak softer. Embrace that femininity. Feel your body and let go. Quiet the mind from all those to do lists. Nurture yourself and others. Your husband, a friend etc. Breath. Love. Smile. Listen. And see what happens.
