Many people with skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis feel like they're constantly battling their skin. Research reveals that exhaustion is frequently reported by patients with skin diseases.

It's not just the physical symptoms that take a toll; the constant itch can make it hard to concentrate or sleep, and the fear of flare-ups can lead to social isolation. All this can interfere with everyday life.

If you're experiencing fatigue, know that you're not alone. Your body is doing its best to fight AD, so it makes sense you're tired. Rest whenever you can and mention your symptoms to your doctor.

Do you love sleeping on your side?

While it's long been known that sleeping on your stomach or back can cause wrinkles, the same is true for side sleepers. Your face might be pressed into your pillow, causing your skin to fold up and form vertical wrinkles.

Does that mean we have to stop sleeping on the side? Absolutely not, let's not get too crazy and take it as a (not so) fun fact.

Surely you have encountered the famous comparison pictures of mouth and nose breathers. But as it turns out, the face structure change is not the only issue that comes with chronic mouth breathing. According to a recent study, the habit may be associated with the onset or development of atopic dermatitis. The correlation has been found among children aged 2-6.

It's the day after a party and instead of being hungover, you get a severe rash. Sounds familiar?

It might be a sign of alcohol intolerance. Or an allergy to an ingredient of an alcoholic beverage. Both of them are not uncommon.

Research also shows that alcohol can directly cause or exacerbate several skin conditions, like psoriasis or eczema.

Solution? Limiting alcohol consumption to the minimum πŸ₯‚

Has your journey with retinol already begun? If not, save this post for a short beginner guide πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

The first thing you'll be concerned about is the starting level of concentration. If it's too high, it might be damaging to the skin, so always start with the lower dose - 0.01% up to 0.03%. Note, however, that with more problematic skin it can be not enough. Then you can consider moderate percentages (0.03% to 0.3%). Stronger concentrations are not recommended for people who never used retinol before.

Additional note: when starting with retinol, it's crucial to remember about sunscreen. Using an active ingredient like this one will make your skin more vulnerable!

There's no doubt that hyaluronic acid is one of the most praised substances these days.

Here are a couple of reasons why you should consider adding it to your routine (if you haven't already):
πŸ’¦ it's one of the quickest ways to healthy, hydrated skin
πŸ’¦ gives you THE glow
πŸ’¦ helps with wrinkles
πŸ’¦ improves skin texture

Fun fact: HA is actually produced by our bodies and can be found in the eyes or joints. Don't worry though, that's not the same HA you're applying to your face πŸ€ͺ
