Last week I had the pleasure of hosting a private Color Analysis workshop at Macy’s Union Square for a corporate Airbnb team — and it was such a fun afternoon.
We spent time learning how color actually works — understanding temperature, saturation, and contrast — and then brought those ideas onto the sales floor to see them in action.
Watching the “aha” moments happen in real time is always my favorite part.
Here’s what Jessica shared afterward in her Airbnb review:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“Must book experience in SF! Michelle was an amazing host and was so knowledgeable, genuine, and inspiring. The experience exceeded all my expectations. Can’t wait for the next time I’m in SF so I can book her other experiences. While the class was amazing, chatting with Michelle one and one and listening to her story as we shopped was so energizing. 100/10!”
Moments like this remind me how powerful it is when people begin to see themselves clearly in the right colors.

World Market Style Campaign - Less is more 😉
You may remember this long crochet cardigan from a few posts back. Stephanie and I love getting creative—her with the camera, me with the styling. And sometimes less is more. So we decided to shoot it with nothing underneath to showcase its beauty in the most simplified way, letting you envision yourself wearing it with whatever you want to pair it with.
It's the perfect piece to toss over so many things—over jeans and a tee, over your favorite dress, or poolside over your bikini. You'll look elegant and chic no matter how you style it. Which way would you wear it?
This approach also highlights the incredible craftsmanship and drape of the piece. When something looks this good on its own, you know it's a winner.

World Market Style Campaign - Come wake up with me!
It was definitely a “Monday morning”—one that required a good dose of caffeine. I’m not a huge coffee drinker; I don’t indulge more than a few times a week, and when I do, I’m strictly a one-cup girl. But that doesn’t mean I forego drinking in style.
I’m a girl who enjoys—no, a girl who has to be surrounded by beauty. It is my joy. So even though I don’t need assistance waking up every morning, what I do need is a beautiful cup when I do indulge in my coffee ritual.
This mug, although I didn’t mean for it to match my dress, put a smile on my face when I found it at World Market. The unexpected color harmony felt like a little morning gift to myself. Do you have a favorite coffee mug? If not, or even if you do, a visit to World Market will ensure that the next time you take a sip, it will be in style.
PS: And don’t forget to stop by the clothing area when you go there—you never know what will put a smile on your face.

Hello lovelies,
Outfit # 4 From the World Market Style Campaign
If you love something so much that you find yourself wearing it ALL OF THE TIME, the best thing to do is to buy two. That’s always been my motto when it comes to style. This Caftan dress is a best seller at World Market. How do I know this? Because it comes in so many fabulous prints and fabrications, from 100% breathable cotton to silky rayons such as the one I’m wearing today.
I bought my first cotton caftan dress 2 years ago and it is one of my favorite dresses to toss over my bikini. This dress I’m donning today is begging for some fun…an afternoon dancing to music that moves me, or an evening out at a festive restaurant. Where would you wear it?
I styled this dress with a black and white crochet tote that pops against the print, along with a semi-precious necklace, both from World Market. The furniture and table accessories, also from World Market, add to the boho vibe, all inspired by “the dress.” The other jewelry, woven leather belt, and green suede shoes —all pieces from my personal wardrobe, elevating the look.
Wondering what’s going through my mind in this first photo?
I’m savoring this moment—when you find pieces that make you feel this good, you want to remember exactly how they make you feel.
The Dress: This one is sold out but don’t fret, there are others that you will love.
The Accessories:
Tote: On sale for $28.00 https://www.worldmarket.com/p/black-and-ivory-diamond-macrame-tote-bag-644869.html
Woven Side Table: This one is sold out, but there are so many others to fall in love with: https://www.worldmarket.com/c/furniture/living-room-furniture/end-and-side-tables/

Faux Yucca Plant: $40 This is so me. No watering necessary - perfect if you live in California, and/or don’t have a green thumb. :) https://www.worldmarket.com/p/faux-yucca-plant-in-rustic-pot-612839.html

Hello lovelies,
Outfit #3 from the World Market Style Campaign 🌻
I love a good challenge.
When I first saw this jumpsuit, I was intrigued. The legs are super wide (and I mean REALLY wide—you’ll see why I emphasize this), and the drop-crotch harem style was nothing I’d ever been drawn to or thought I’d try. But when curiosity kicks in, creativity follows.
There’s always a first time, and this was a fun one. I slipped it on and began to play.
The magic is in the styling versatility. The jumpsuit has a self-tie that creates completely different looks depending on how you wear it. Simple styling changes for maximum impact? Yes, please.
Look 1: Untied and carefree
I tossed it on and left it untied—total beachy dress vibes. Even though you couldn’t see my shape, it didn’t feel overwhelming on my petite frame. I could see myself strolling a tropical beach in total comfort before discarding it for some sun time. (Please take me there now! 🏖️)
Look 2: Tied in back
For those who like a more fitted look, tying it in back creates that true harem jumpsuit silhouette with the drop-crotch clearly visible. I loved this look!
Look 3: Tied in front
Gathering all the fabric in front created a high-low effect in the legs—more slim-fitted dress vibes with an interesting twist.
Look 4: The creative surprise
My creativity wasn’t done. I had to laugh thinking, “Could this possibly work?” I took one leg out of a pant leg, removed the strap from the same arm, slipped my arm through the pant leg, put my head through the armhole, and added gold sandals. Voilà! Goddess vibes! This is definitely a must-see transformation.
If this inspires you, hit that 💚 and leave a comment!

Hello Lovlies,
Outfit #2 from the World Market Style Campaign 🌻
A girl just can’t resist a good buy when she sees one.
I’ve literally been living in this dress—no joke. With the weather being so gorgeous and hot, this is the easiest piece to toss on with sandals or sneakers. Belted or not belted, this has been my go-to for weeks. I’m obsessed with the colors and the perfect weight of this cotton/linen blend. And yes, it has pockets—one of my favorite details!
The crochet cardi adds the perfect boho touch for special days or evenings out.
Unfortunately, both pieces are no longer available (darn!). I guess I’m not the only one who couldn’t resist a good buy for the perfect go-to outfit.
The styling details: Pretty gem necklace also from WM. Cord belt from Xirena featuring a gorgeous gradient from orange to yellow. I popped this color story with my yellow “Gelato” sneakers (a find thanks to my fab client’s introduction—thanks Kristin!) and my yellow watch. Can you tell yellow is a favorite color for summer? If you run into me this time of year, don’t be surprised if my nails are painted yellow too! 💛

It all started when I was a teenager.
World Market (aka “Cost Plus” World Market for those who grew up in California) was a marketplace filled with fascinating finds from around the world. It was one of my favorite places for furniture, pottery, textiles, international foods, and so much more.
You can imagine my excitement at 16 when I was hired as a stock girl—one of my first real jobs in the working world.
I still have the box cutter I used to slice open packages. Besides making the store floor beautiful with exciting, colorful products, the thrill of splitting open boxes and peering in to see new arrivals was a highlight of my day. To this day, I use that box cutter to open deliveries at home, and I still get that same excited feeling I used to get at Cost Plus. Oh, if my box cutter could talk!
Over the years, World Market has remained a favorite place for unique finds for myself, my house, my family, and friends. It wasn’t until 6-7 years ago that I discovered their clothing and accessory section. Whenever I wore my World Market pieces, I’d get compliments.
Last fall, I found stylish clothing pieces that had people stopping me in the streets—including right outside World Market—asking where I bought my coat, sweater, etc. When I said World Market, they were shocked. Most had no idea World Market even sold clothing! I found myself proudly sharing these coveted fashion finds that didn’t break the bank.
As a stylist, I’ve always said stylish clothing can be found at every price point. I was walking proof. This rayon dress? $40.
Dress & Jewelry: Mira Multicolor Toucan and Botanical Kaftan Dress styled with a delicate gem necklace and turquoise earrings, adding some of my own jewelry + a vintage leather belt from Italy and platform sandals, creating a fun summer outfit perfect for an afternoon garden party or al fresco dinner.
