IYKYK. Clients are short, tall, and sometimes we can’t get them high enough or low enough… in comes the hydraulic stool. I used to feel like it was a sign of weakness to sit and do a highlight or a cut, but now my back and my feet are thanking me daily for giving them a bit of a rest, and my neck is cheering to the gods I’m not hunched over 12 hours a day looking down at my clients. This brings what I’m working on to eye level and I highly recommend!

POV: black hairline is ruining your day. Have you ever had this issue where you use the perfect base color on your client but for some reason, her hairline always appears black? This is how you fix it!

Did you know that the hairline can be both the most stubborn and most porous hair on the head? If you are using the same base color formula on your client’s hairline as throughout their head, I guarantee this is why their hairline looks black. I always mix up one entire level lighter for around the face for my base colors. For example, in this video I am using a level 7 around her face and a level 6 throughout the rest of her head. Try it, I guarantee you’ll love it!
