Happy New Year 2020 & Happy New Decade!
A special greeting goes out to my colleagues around the world. I’m just grateful for the opportunities God has given me throughout my life to work with true pioneers in the world of fashion & hairdressing. From Master Alexandre de Paris, Horacio Parada, Joseph, the incomparable Vidal Sassoon, be part of the Intercoiffure circle, to connecting in the last decade with Sam McKnight, Eduardo Bravo, Wade Lee and working with world class photographers like Chuck Schoenberger & Sebastian Mittermeier (to name a few).
My passion for hair continues and I’m forever in awe of my career which has given me clients, who’ve become friends through time and distance and are still by my side: from Buenos Aires to the State of California (North & South) and the city of Las Vegas. Grateful for the exceptional connections in Spain, England, Italy, Germany, Morocco, Singapore & France. The list goes on...
Looking back, I can quote Frank Sinatra’s lyrics: “I did it my way”, and looking at this photo (post fashion show) during New York Fashion Week: “If I can make it there, I’ll make it anywhere!”.

As many of you know, the doors of La Femme Hair Studio officially closed to the public on July 31st, 2019 marking Mirta’s retiring from “Salon days”. However, Mirta will continue to create in her beloved industry, as hair will always be her number one passion.

Dear clients, thank you for making me your hairstylist of choice.
As you know, prices have been going up in our State & also Nationwide. Prices at the salon have been raised slightly due to this fact, as well. I am a small business owner (sole proprietor), and all the work I do with my hands goes to cover expenses: rent, maintenance, products, licensing (from city & state), taxes, etc. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask (call me or message me).

I do not compromise the quality of my work by cutting corners, nor lowering my high standards of excellence. I take pride in knowing I provide the best service & use the best products for my clients, always. I put my heart & soul into my work & will continue to do so until I retire. "Know your worth".
As you know I'm "new" in the city of Dixon. Recently I was told by a member of the Dixon Chamber of Commerce to "re-think" my prices as my competition in the area charges way less. I am thankful for the concern this lovely lady presented, yet my prices will remain the same and here is why: First, I do not believe in competition. Each stylist is different & luckily there is enough work for everyone. We all work differently. I have been in the business for 40 years, trained with the top masters of hairstyling in Paris, France. For twenty years I managed & trained stylists under my supervision at a lux hair salon in Buenos Aires, Argentina (that's where I'm from). I've trained several young hairdressers here in the U.S. Had the honor to be the hairdresser for the First Lady of Argentina. Have done editorial work, fashion shows, hair for commercials & printed adds. Done hair for hundreds of brides. My level of education & expertise can be matched with those of stylists working at top hair salons in Paris, New York or Beverly Hills (yet I charge a fraction of their prices).
Why have I decided to open my hair studio in Dixon? Because it is the perfect place for me at this stage in my life. It's a charming, quiet town. I fell in love with the building where my studio is located & the people who own it are amazing. It is close to home & close enough for my clients to continue to come from San Francisco, San Jose, Walnut Creek, Martinez, Napa Valley, Cordelia, Suisun, Fairfield, Vacaville, Davis, Winters, Woodland, Sacramento, etc. Some clients who have moved away because of work or family reasons, still choose me as their hair dresser when they are in town.
I give each one of my clients the very best of what I have to offer. The salon is beautifully designed with them in mind. I want them to experience the BEST in hair care with each visit and that's why I work by appointment only. Quality 100% of the time. My clients are women of all ages, gentlemen & young men as well. They are very dear and close to my heart & many of them have become like family. My clients want what's best & that's what I deliver.
