Maybe this is how we lock in for the rest of the year 09/07/2026

Okay, this was not on my calendar!

But The Universe has pinged me enough times that apparently we’re doing this.

Let me explain.

There’s a book called The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron that has been in the back of my mind for months. It’s a 12-week creative practice that’s been around for decades, and despite the name, it isn’t only for people who consider themselves “artists.” At its core, it’s a practice of creative recovery. Looking at the fears, beliefs, habits, old stories and all the other s**t that can get in the way of our creativity, and creating space to reconnect with that part of ourselves again.

And I’ve wanted to go through it for a while.

I’ve also repeatedly told myself I have enough on my plate and do NOT need to add another thing…Then the other day I was listening to a tarot reading, and the reader randomly started talking about The Artist’s Way and the role it had played in her own life! Like wth! Was that an official message from The Universe?

I cannot provide documentation!
But I took the hint!

So I decided I’m finally starting it on the New Moon, September 10.

Which then led me right back to something I created called Alignment.

Alignment is a 45-day self-led practice built around four pillars that I believe make up so much of the human experience:

- Mind.
- Body
- Hear.
- Spirit

Every day, you intentionally do something to tend to each one. Not perfectly. Not dramatically. And definitely not because we need another self-improvement project telling us everything we need to fix about ourselves!

It’s a practice of coming back to yourself.

And I realized... it’s time for me to come back to it too. Alignment is something I return to time and time again. I've even had the honor of leading several women though it for three different rounds! I already try to live my life in a way that pays attention to these four parts of myself, but the last few weeks have been FULL.

I was planning for the Sonic Bloom pop-up, then actually doing the pop-up, then came the candle sale and all the energy around that, and right now I’m also guiding a fellow sister through StillPoint, a four-week experience where we work closely together. All beautiful things. All things I chose. And still... it’s a lot to hold. I realized I also need a space to hold myself through all of it too. A place to intentionally come back to my Mind, my Body, my Heart and my Spirit instead of assuming I’ll just keep tending to them somewhere in between everything else.

So coming back to Alignment makes sense to me.

For me, The Artist’s Way will be part of my Mind pillar during these 45 days. Alignment is actually giving me the structure to finally devote myself to this book instead of continuing to say, “I’ll get to it eventually.” 😂. For you, your practices might look completely different. And don’t worry, if you decide to join, there’s a guidebook that comes with the program with all the details!

And honestly, with so much uncertainty around us right now, I keep thinking:

what better way to move through uncertain times than to learn how to be sovereign in your own being?

To know how to come back to yourself.
To know what steadies you. What supports you. What helps you hear your own voice. What keeps you connected to your body, your heart, your Spirit, your own inner knowing.
Not because the outside world suddenly becomes certain.
But because you become less dependent on certainty in order to feel rooted in yourself.

And lately I keep hearing people talk about “locking in” for the rest of the year. Which got me thinking.
Maybe before we lock in on the goals, the plans, the business, the workouts, the money, the things we said we were going to finally do this year…
we lock back in with ourselves first.

What if the next 45 days are simply about getting ourselves underneath us again? Taking care of our minds. Moving and supporting our bodies. Paying attention to our hearts. Staying connected to something deeper than the noise around us. And then seeing where that version of us goes from there.

So I’m opening another round of Alignment.

And this time, I’m doing the whole 45 days right alongside everyone. Because this came together quickly and accessibility feels important:
Alignment is $11.11 for this round.

There’s also an Alignment + 1:1 option for $111.11, which includes weekly 1:1 support from me throughout the 45 days if you know you’d like a little more personal support as you move through the practice.

We begin September 10 with the New Moon.
Doors will stay open through September 17, so if you find us a few days late, or need a few days to let this marinate, you can still jump in.

If you’ve been feeling that little internal:
Okay. It’s time.

Maybe this is how we begin.

So… Sonic Bloom happened 🤍 08/29/2026

Sonic Bloom happened 🤍

And now that I’ve had a few days to rest and let the whole experience settle, I finally want to tell you about the actual day.

Because waow.

When I first started thinking about the booth, I knew I wanted it to feel as much like the studio as possible. Partly because I wanted people to get a real sense of Salvage+Rescue. And partly because, if y’all know me, you know I love showing up with my own flare… which also means I can very easily spend hella money trying to make something feel like me 😂 and lemme tell you, I was TEMPTED!

So instead, I literally brought pieces of the studio with me.

The week before the event, I mock-set up the booth. Twice.

One, because I wanted to see how everything looked and felt together and make adjustments if I needed to. And two, because I wanted to make sure I could set the whole thing up myself just in case I didn’t have help. Very me 😂

Then event day came. We woke up at 6am, went to the studio, loaded everything up, drove to the venue, unloaded, and started setting up. We got lucky because our booth was assigned to this really cute little corner almost right at the entrance to the outdoor area. It was such a blessing ✨

And then something funny happened.

Even though I had already set the booth up twice…Even though we weren’t rushed…Even though I had literally planned the whole thing so I could do it myself…I really needed my man’s help. And thank God he was there. He stepped in, stayed calm, helped me figure out what needed to go where, moved things around, and just handled whatever needed handling without making any of it feel stressful.

And I remember noticing something in that moment.

There was probably a version of me that would have felt like I needed to do it all myself because it was my vision, my booth, my business. But I didn’t feel that way. I let him help me. I leaned on him. And nothing about the vision became less mine because I didn’t do every single part of it myself.

Once everything was set up, all the vendors gathered for a pre-opening meditation because OF COURSE a wellness event would begin that way!

And then it was go time.

The whole day was somehow really smooth, really calm, really grounded… and also went by SOOOOOOO fast. I had all these plans to take pictures, make videos, capture content, show y’all everything that was happening. Because obviously this was the perfect time and place for it. Did I do any of that? Nope 😂

But I think a huge part of that was because I was actually present with every person who came by.

And before the event, I genuinely had no idea what to expect. I didn’t know if anyone would even stop at my booth. I definitely didn’t know if people would participate in the release ritual I created. That part felt especially vulnerable because I wasn’t just putting something on a table and asking people to buy it. I was asking people to pause. To think about what they were carrying. To name something they were ready to release. To write it down. And to let it go. And people did. So many people did.

I got to watch people come over, read the prompt, sit with themselves for a moment, write something down, place it into the water, and watch it dissolve. Some shared what was coming up for them. Some didn’t say anything at all. And I was just… in awe.

Of the people who were willing to release.
Of the people who opened up.
Of the people who asked me about Reiki, hypnosis, ritual haircuts, the candles, the studio, the work.

I loved meeting everyone. Like, genuinely loved it.

But what I really didn’t expect was how much it would light me up to see familiar faces.

Clients. Friends. People who made the time to actually come out and support me. Every time I looked up and recognized someone walking toward the booth, it hit me all over again. You came. You really came. And I don’t think I can properly explain how much that meant to me. Not because I expected anyone to show up for me. Actually, probably the opposite. It felt like such a gift every single time. And even if you couldn’t make it, so many of you sent me texts, messages, encouragement, checked in on me before the event, asked me how it went after…

I felt so supported.

And I want to say thank you for that.

I also have to shout out my brother and sis-in-law because they let me borrow his battery pack and portable fridge, which ended up being SO necessary for that hot ass day 😂 Very unglamorous detail, but also very real. Cold drinks and power matter, okay?!

And then there is my mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. 🤍

There is absolutely no way I could have pulled that day off without him. From helping me set everything up, to dealing with downtown parking in his big ass truck, to being there with me for the entire event, to holding down the booth so I could take bathroom breaks, to stepping in when the booth suddenly filled with people doing the release ritual and looking at candles…

He was IN IT.
Not hovering.
Not just “there.”
Helping.
Paying attention.
Stepping in wherever he was needed.
And doing it all with so much calm.

I know I already said there was something meaningful for me in realizing I could lean on him during setup, but honestly, the whole day showed me that. I didn’t have to carry the entire thing alone for it to still be mine. I didn’t have to prove I could do everything myself. I could let myself be supported. And I think maybe that was part of the day too.

Then suddenly we looked at the time and there were FIFTEEN MINUTES LEFT.

Like… excuse me?! 😂

The entire day had disappeared. And I think that’s probably one of the biggest signs that I was exactly where I was supposed to be.

I wasn’t watching the clock. I wasn’t obsessing over whether enough people had come by. I wasn’t trying to force the day into content. I was just in it. Present. Talking. Listening. Meeting people. Sharing the work. Watching people release. Watching people get curious. Watching people connect. And then it was over.

There is definitely more I want to say about what Sonic Bloom represented for me and what it showed me about visibility, support, doing things differently, and what happens when you finally say yes to something before you totally understand why. But I think that deserves its own conversation.

For today, I mostly wanted to bring you into the day a little bit.

And say thank you.

For showing up.
For checking on me.
For rooting for me.
For being curious about what I’m building.
For letting this weird, beautiful, ever-evolving little business keep becoming something new in front of you.
And speaking of things I brought to Sonic Bloom…

I came home with some caaaaaaaandles ready to share with you!!!

So if you wanted one but weren’t able to make it out, I still have some available. They’re made with virgin coconut soy wax in recyclable and reusable vessels with wooden wicks, and an essential oil blend of lavender, sweet orange, clove bud, and myrrh, and each one was infused with Reiki before the event.

I created them with your peace and power in mind, that you cantering your own intention to every time you light the candle.
Maybe when you’re calling something in.
Maybe when you’re releasing something.
Maybe when you simply need a moment to come back to yourself.
You get to decide.

If you’d like one, reply to this email and I’ll set one aside for you while I still have them!

Sonic Bloom was my first vendor event.
Yet, it was so much more than that.

More soon.

10 days until Sonic Bloom! ✨ 08/12/2026

We are 10 days away from our first vendor event and I’ve failed to keep you in the loop!

And if you’re reading this now and thinking, “What on earth is she talking about?”

Then I’ve really dropped the ball! 😂

A few weeks ago, I felt compelled to say yes to being a vendor at an event. A yes that came from the realization that if I’m really going to materialize my wishes, my hopes, my dreams, my purpose, I have to show up differently than I have before.

Saying yes to this event, I don’t even think I knew what I was getting into, let alone what I was going to do!

The event is called SONIC BLOOM, and it’s a community wellness event featuring experiences, workshops, healing practitioners, and local makers.

I could offer Reiki or mini healing sessions like many practitioners will be, but y’all know that’s not really my style. And honestly, that wasn’t the purpose of saying yes to this event for me.

So, I decided I’d make candles.

Like how I used to.

Now, if you didn’t know I did this, it’s because I really didn’t have the capacity to keep doing it. But I started making candles in 2020 when I first began my journey into spirituality. I began lighting a candle every time I went into meditation as a way to set the space and, honestly, signal to my brain that it was time to meditate.

Through a lot of 2020 to 2022ish, I would make candles seasonally or, honestly, whenever the divine would call me to do so.

Fast forward to now, I’m doing them again. And they’ll be making their return at SONIC BLOOM at our very own Salvage+Rescue booth!

They may look ordinary, but they definitely aren't your ordinary candies! A little bit about them:

Each candle is hand-poured with virgin coconut soy wax and a wooden wick, and infused with Reiki.

The scent is a blend of lavender, sweet orange, clove bud, and myrrh.
I originally created the blend simply because I loved the way these scents came together. But as I looked deeper into each oil, I realized there was so much more meaning within the blend itself.

Lavender · cleansing + peace
Lavender has a long history of being used for cleansing, bathing, rest, and creating a sense of calm. Its name is often connected to the Latin lavare, meaning “to wash.” For me, its place in the blend feels like clearing away what has accumulated and making room for peace.

Sweet Orange · warmth + renewal
Orange brings brightness and warmth into the blend. Citrus has long been associated with vitality, abundance, joy, and renewal. I think of it as aliveness, that feeling of warmth and energy returning.

Clove Bud · protection + strength
Clove has traditionally been associated with protection, strength, preservation, and prosperity. And because clove bud oil comes from the flower before it opens, I love the additional symbolism of potential.

Myrrh · reverence + remembrance
Myrrh is probably the deepest part of the blend for me.
It has been used for thousands of years in sacred rituals, incense, anointing, burial practices, and as an offering.

Together, the blend holds layers of cleansing, peace, warmth, renewal, protection, strength, reverence, and remembrance.

I’m so excited to finally be sharing these candles with you!

I also got more insight into everything happening at Sonic Bloom, and it honestly makes me wish I was going to be there as an attendee too. 😂

Let’s talk! 07/28/2026

The last time I sent an update, I had a whole bunch of thingy things to tell you, and I did. Now I’m ready to fill you in a little deeper. Why? Because I know y’all love the tea, but really, it’s for my own self-preservation! Lol.

Here’s what happens: I experience so much, either internally or behind the scenes, and then when I get asked, “How’ve you been?” I don’t even know where to start. Or, I do, but I know it's going to take me an hour to tell the story! Hahaha! Plus, when you’re in my chair, my intention is for that time to be about you, because that’s what it's meant for! My heart genuinely loves holding space for you!

The last email started like this:

“Why is May significant, you might wonder.
Well, May was the official 10-year anniversary of Salvage+Rescue, and honestly, I celebrated it with a ton of stress and exploring different options for a new location. Great news for all of us: we did not have to find a new location and are very much still here, right in our Santa Clara spot, thriving.”

The experience of stress, uncertainty, and negotiating with my landlord was a big wake-up call about what is important to me.

At one point, I really had to let myself release control and explore the very real possibility of no longer being in the studio.

What was I going to do, especially with such a short time frame? I realized that securing my own space again was going to take time. Time to find a new location. Time to rebuild the resources to do so. And how would I rebuild if there were no space to do it in?!

Well, thankfully, your girl here is resourceful like hell.

I reached out to a friend to see if she had any open days in her studio. I asked if she would be willing to let me temporarily sublease her space, AND she said yes! Thank goodness!!! She had two, potentially three, days available. I really weighed out this option.

If everything played out this way, it meant compressing my schedule into a strict two or three days and trying to fit in as many of you as I could during that time. And you know what, if things went down that way, I was willing to do it, even if it meant 10, maybe even 12-hour days!

Then I would also offer outdoor or distance Reiki sessions, selling candles, and who knows what else!

Because do you know what I was meant to learn through this experience?

When I had to sit with the possibility of not having my own studio, the question I asked myself was:

“Well, how can I still help people?”

And that was the well that all of these ideas and different channels were affirmed and began to spring from. That’s when I had the realization that NOTHING can stop me from my passion and desire to genuinely help people.

And that realization is what brought me back to the actual heart of Salvage+Rescue.

At Salvage+Rescue, our mission is simple: to support you in your journey to reconnect with your peace and power.

The studio is important to me, there’s no doubt about that. I love this space, and I’ve poured so much into creating it. But the work has never only been about having a studio.

It’s about helping people.

It’s about living out that mission, whether it happens through your hair, Reiki, hypnotherapy, a conversation, my programs, or something I haven’t even created yet. That was the through line I needed to be reminded of.

That whole experienced reinforced what I was already planning AND gave birth to some new ideas I mentioned in the last email, and honestly, even more that I haven’t shared yet!

Looking back now, it makes sense why I went through that for the mark of our 10 year anniversary of Salvage+Rescue. It refocused what Salvage+Rescue will be like going forward.

And one thing before wrapping this little chat with you. Let me remind you that everything worked out (just as it always does lol) we are still in the same location in Santa Clara! In fact, we’ve even gotten to update our little cozy hangout area that I’m super excited about and there are more updates and new things to come soon! Stay tuned! Love you!

With love+gratitude,
Charyl Le

A Quick Update from the Folks at Salvage+Rescue Reiki Salon 07/08/2026

I've had so much to update y'all with since the end of May…

It's now July 7th as of writing this.

Wow, right?!

Why is May significant, you might wonder.

Well, May was the official 10 year anniversary of Salvage+Rescue, and honestly, I celebrated it with a ton of stress and exploring different options for a new location. Great news for all of us: we did not have to find a new location and are very much still here, right in our Santa Clara spot, thriving!

I've always felt immense gratitude for our space, but my heart has landed in it in a deeper way lately. This little end of May shake up birthed some magic, and I intend to share it with you spread out over the next few weeks, so I don't slam you with a long ass email.

Here's what you can expect to hear more about, because I love keeping it real with you:

✨ We've upgraded our seating/hang out area! There are still a few more details I'd love to add, but in time. For now, it feels warmer, cozier, and honestly just begging to be YAPPED in. I'm so excited for you to see it and feel it for yourself!

✨ Also, your experience at the studio is leveling up too. More on that very soon!

I said yes to an opportunity to be a vendor at a wellness fair and community gathering called Sonic Bloom on August 22nd in San Jose! Save the date, this one's going to be special, and I hope to see y'all there!

This is something I'm excited and nervous about. I'm putting myself "out there" in a way that pushes me outside of my comfort zone, but these last few years I've been letting purpose lead over fear, so here we are! I'll be creating a reflective, contemplative experience at my booth, plus selling Reiki infused candles made by MEEEEE!

If you want to explore the event, check it out here: www.sonicbloomfair.com. Also, if you're a maker or wellness practitioner who'd love to be part of something like this, they still have space for vendors!

Speaking of community… I had a realization. This studio is too good to keep all to myself. I've basically been hoarding good energy, and that's no way to run a community space.

So here's what's next: I've got a few open days each week, and I'm ready to fill them with someone who gets it, someone who'll walk in, feel the magic, and treat the space like their own.

I'm ready to sublease.

I'm telling you all first because it would be amazing to share this with someone I already know, or someone you know. If that's you, or someone comes to mind right away, just reply to this email! No question is too small, too silly, or too random.

The program I created and run, called ALIGNMENT, is about to complete its third round! I’m in awe of the women who joined and the things they have shifted! I'll share more once we fully close out the container, but if you want to learn more about it now, check it out here: www.salvageandrescue.com/alignment

Ten years in, and it still feels like day one every time one of you walks through that door. Thank you for building this space with me, and for sticking around for whatever magic comes next!

In the meantime, in tribute to the recent baby bangs I got, enjoy this keepsake of young Charyl rocking the babiest of baby bangs!

Also, book your session, I'd love to see you!

How is it already mid-May? 05/12/2026

Hi there!

My man's been on the road, driving through different parts of the country in different time zones, and we were joking about how time doesn't exist for him right now. Driving day and night. Hours ahead, hours synced. Honestly, I'm feeling like time doesn't exist for all of us right now! How is it mid-May?!

This past week or so has been a full one over here. Mother's Day, family in town, an early birthday celebration for my mom, and a personal candle order I was working on. (Did you know I make candles? Side passion that I love. It's really special actually, upcycled vessels, wooden wicks, coco-soy wax, essential oils, C*D, and Reiki infused.)

Mother's Day landed quietly powerful for me this year. The day holds so many layers, whether you celebrated, missed someone, mothered yourself or others, lost a child too soon, or are still longing for one. I hope however it showed up for you, you felt held in whatever way you needed.

I've also been deep in launch mode for the next round of Alignment, which opens Saturday, May 16th. My original plan for the launch... let's just say it's looking a little different than I'd imagined, but here we are! Still dedicated to it because I know how much it will help those who join this round.

In the middle of all of it, I realized I haven't reached out in a minute. So here's the gentle nudge: if there's anything I can hold for you right now, hair, energy work, or otherwise, I'd love to see you.

You can book here:

With love,
Charyl

A different part of my work 05/05/2026

Hi!

I'm sharing something with you that lives outside the chair, and I'm trusting you to receive it however it lands.

For years, I've been walking through a self-led practice called ALIGNMENT, a 45-day return to yourself across four pillars: Mind, Body, Heart, and Spirit. It's quiet, intentional work for anyone ready to come home to who they are underneath everything pulling at them.

I created it through my own devotion to it, refining it each time I moved through it. About a year ago, I started guiding others through it too.

I built this because I believe this kind of work is needed right now. We are living in a time that pulls us away from ourselves at every turn. Faster, louder, more, optimize, perform, produce. So many of us are running on patterns we didn't choose, exhausted from being everything except who we actually are. Alignment is the practice of coming back. Of softening the noise. Of remembering what was always yours underneath all of it.

The doors open on May 16th, the new moon.
But the way in begins now, with the waitlist.

For full transparency, Alignment is $33, the lowest it’s ever been offered. And I priced it this way on purpose, so that anyone who feels called could walk through it without cost being the thing that keeps them out. Accessibility.

While it’s not needed to benefit from this practice, there's also an optional 1:1 Support add-on for those who'd like me alongside them through the practice.

And if your like, Charyl, I still don't get it. What is this? Have no worries. Sign up for the waitlist and you'll hear from me over the next couple of weeks as we get closer, the story behind the program, what I've learned from previous rounds, what it is, what to expect, and a personal invitation to enroll when doors open.

If something in you is whispering yes as you read this, here's your way in:
salvageandrescue.kit.com/56c25bc28d

And if this isn't your season, no pressure at all. I'll keep showing up here for all things hair, exactly as I have been!

Thank you for trusting me with your hair, your energy, your time, and your stories! It means more than you know!

With love,
Charyl
