It’s totally not what you’re expecting, unless you watch my stories, so watch until the end!

Look, I have plenty to do around here, but I am legitimately bored a couple days a week. Mostly I’m gardening, but sometimes I dress up or do cosplay just for the hell of it. I haven’t been invited to any fancy zoom parties or anything so I’m really just doing this for myself. I just figured I’d share a little.
__________
Some of you may wonder what I’ve been up to since I haven’t posted since I had to shut down, but I imagine most of you (much like myself) have been adjusting to whatever your new norm is for the time being.
__________
In case you were curious though, I’ve spent the last couple weeks in my garden and my greenhouse. I have this wonderful privilege of being in a home with a greenhouse and even though I’m unemployed right now, I spent some money on seeds from . You might have seen them in my stories a couple weeks ago now.
__________
I feel strongly that the food system is going to go through a time of readjustment and possibly a shortage due to the lack of migrant workers being allowed into our country to farm our produce. My solution for my family is to support our local produce companies by purchasing a box and starting my own garden at home.
__________
Here’s the good news: my seeds are sprouting! Here’s a little preview of what I have popping up so far. Hope you enjoy.

I had the opportunity to play with one of my new favorite colors again this week, Sea Monster from x . These colors were just released last week, so you can finally get your hands on all four new colors!
____________
Usually comes in with a few inspiration photos and gives me creative freedom otherwise. This time was no different. We actually swatched out 3 different formulas for the teal and 4 for the pink. Surprise, the most simple versions we liked the best!
___________
Our formulas were as follows:
three parts clear to one part ; three parts clear to one part ; and as is.

What do you get when you take two besties that are hairstylists, one model who’s ready for a big change, and some colors from ? This amazing collaboration!
__________
For those of you that haven’t met my friend Elle Duerr , she and I have been working on hair projects together since I moved down to the Bay Area in 2003. I started working at Regis with her then, and several years, a few jobs in common, and many creative projects later, we’re still having a blast together behind the chair. We’ve always had each other’s back since the get go, and creating fun color and styling concepts with her is part of the fun!
__________
Enter , who is a friend of mine that doesn’t have restrictions anymore from work about her hair color. She’s always wanted to do a split blue color. Previously she had a blue and teal balayage that had grown out, and she had been refreshing it with a non-professional color line that hung on pretty tight.
__________
Our first step was to remove as much of that previous color as possible using Color Eraser. Next, we lightened the mid lengths in foils, staying off the scalp and previously lightened ends. After that processed halfway, we brought the lightener from the scalp through the ends. We cleansed with Brass Off shampoo and mask to pre-tone. After drying, we applied Admiral Navy at the scalp and melted it into Retro Blue.
__________
I think Mel looks amazing here! What a fun change. Tell me in the comments, would you be brave enough to try a split color? Why or why not?
__________
I admit, I've been sitting on this video for almost 2 months now. But since I'm about to see soon I was inspired to post her video.
__________
I had the pleasure of playing with new Plant-Based Color and I was super excited with the results. As you see in the video we started with a previously lightened ombre that was very light (how nice). That made for a perfect canvas for Rosehip Blonde, a beautiful warm light pink tone.
__________
After applying to wet hair and processing 20 minutes, I rinsed her until the water ran clear, applied Biolage Acidic Milk Rinse, and gave her a thorough scalp massage. Stylists, do you massage your guests' scalps while your treatments process?
__________
I just love how this color turned out! Do you love it too? Tell me in the comments!
__________
First off, can I say how delightful it is working with natural, virgin hair? came to me with no previous color and a gorgeous brunette shade that I just wanted to enhance.
__________
I had just received the Power Cools series in SoColor and ColorSync by in my monthly mailing, and I couldn’t wait to use them on my brunette guests. What a perfect model for SoColor!
__________
I used the shades 6AA and 6VA with 20 Volume on her natural level 4 hair, highlighting with a chunky weave and alternating colors in the foils. I used different colors of foils to keep track of what color I used.
___________
Power Cools did not disappoint! As you may know, brunette hair goes brassy fast when going lighter. We were able to counteract the red and orange undertones found in levels 4-6 and still have a rich, beautiful color that wasn’t flat or muddy. All control and shine, no brass.
__________
Would you like to kick brass to the curb? Are you a brunette that prefers cooler brown tones? Are you a stylist whose guests are always fighting warmth? Power Cools are just the solution. Would you try it? Tell me in the comments what you think!
__________
Welcome to Fresh Recipes! Watch as I mix up a cleansing and conditioning treatment specifically tailored to my guest’s hair needs.
__________
I’m also sharing my 5 minute scalp massage routine (sped up 2x for your viewing pleasure) that I pair with any professional conditioning treatment I do in the salon.
__________
I love being able to customize my cleansing and treatment needs for each individual. Would you like the ability to be a hair chef?
__________
I treated one Swatch with the SoSilver shampoo and new mask. I left the other alone. Can you tell which is which?
__________
I don't know about you, but I am supposed to be sleeping. But I can't stop thinking about this video I took a few days ago. So I'm taking the opportunity now to edit this up so you can see the power of this warmth-controlling system for blondes, silvers, and greys that are looking to minimize yellow tones. This is a game changer.
