A little pop of pink, but make it versatile. 🩷🖤

This is a pink halo — all of the hair around her hairline is pink, so when she wears her hair down you get those fun pops of color around her face, through her bangs, and as peekaboo pieces throughout her hair.

And when she throws it up into a ponytail? 💥 The entire halo shows up as a big pop of pink!

I LOVE color placement like this because you can keep the majority of your hair dark and understated while still having a seriously fun vivid color moment whenever you want one. 🩷

Basically… two hair colors in one. 😉🖤

To finish it off, we went for baby bangs + a heavily textured s**g with lots of face-framing layers. Basically, the perfect haircut for showing off all those little pops of pink.

It’s officially spooky season, so obviously we needed some warm, fall-inspired vivid hair! 🥳🧡❤️💜

We touch up her black roots about every 3 weeks, but we only lighten her mid-lengths about once a year. Once we’ve created that lighter canvas, I can refresh her vivid melt over those lightened pieces every couple of months without having to lighten her hair over and over again.

Eventually, as the hair grows out and those lightened pieces move down the hair, we reach a point where it’s time to lighten again and start the cycle over.

This time we got her SO light that we decided to keep her lighter for the time being — which means we get to have even more fun with those vibrant colors! 🖤🌈✨

Black roots + a warm fall vivid melt = exactly what spooky season ordered. 🎃🖤

Purple Underlights 💜

This is one of my favorite kinds of color because we were able to get her this gorgeous purple underneath without lightening her hair first. She maintains her roots at home with a highlift color, and then comes to me about every 6 weeks to refresh the purple and keep everything looking fresh.

The best part? This whole color refresh + haircut took about 1 hour and 15 minutes, and the total was around $140.

So if you’ve been thinking, “I want some fun color, but I don’t want to spend half my day at the salon or bleach my entire head…”
