Copper brown curls 🤎✨

We did a customized curly cut to bring shape, movement, and definition back into her curls, paired with an all over copper brown color for that rich dimensional glow ☀️🍂

I’m obsessed with how healthy, soft, and bouncy her curls turned out. The warmth in this color complements her texture so beautifully while adding shine and depth from every angle ✨

One thing I always educate my clients on is that not everyone has one curl pattern throughout their entire head of hair

It’s actually very common to have multiple textures in different areas whether that’s underneath, at the crown, around the hairline, or through the front of the face.

During every consultation, I always ask questions to better understand whether changes in texture may be connected to damage, heat styling, hormonal changes, or if it’s simply their natural pattern.

For this client, she’s always naturally had a more coily pattern through the center of her hair with a halo of looser texture underneath and that’s completely normal ♡

Learning your unique texture makeup is such an important part of building a routine that truly works for your hair instead of against it.

This beautiful guest is officially starting her healthy curl journey after years of consistent flat ironing. Today was all about learning how to embrace her natural texture, bring moisture back into the hair, and create a styling routine that works with her curls instead of against them 💚

Flat ironing too often can definitely begin to backtrack curl health over time and may eventually lead to tension damage, especially without proper hydration and care. Her hair was craving moisture, softness, and balance and her curls are already beginning to respond beautifully ✨

Recovery doesn’t happen overnight, but this is such an amazing first step. With patience, hydration, trims, and the right routine, her natural texture can continue becoming healthier and stronger.

So proud of her for letting go of the heat and choosing to embrace her natural curls again 🫶🏻
