Does this one hit home for a lot of you? I feel like we have these big ideas of what what we would like to become, but if you never advance in that direction, then you will never get there.

In my opinion, words mean very little these days. Actions are what speak.

Show up, do the work. That is the only way that you are going to get there. No one is going to just give it to you. You need to do it for yourself. Do it for your family.

So this was a very interesting day.

This is my cousin Tara, and we hadn’t seen each other in over two years! Life has been pretty crazy for the two of us. Babies, schooling, pandemic.. etc. It was so nice to catch up with her.

What wasn’t nice was the fact that I randomly got sick in the middle of doing her hair. No joke, I was feeling great and we were having a great time and all of a sudden I was nauseous.

Poor Tara. I was running back and forth from the bathroom and doing her hair. What should’ve taken 3 hours ended up taking 7 hours. I couldn’t not stand up with our the urge to vomit, but I couldn’t just stop doing her hair. Thankfully another stylist helped me finish foiling the last bit of her hair. Thankfully, the sickness passed and we were able to get Tara on her way home.

I’ve concluded that I had gotten food poisoning from the restaurant we ate at the night before. What a day it was. Has anything like this happened to anybody else? Tell me your story in the comments! @ Gilbert, Arizona

“I’m too busy.”

This was the response I got from my two year old, when I asked him what he wanted to eat.

It breaks my heart, knowing that he has heard that come out of my mouth several times. “I’m too busy.”

What are you too busy doing? I’ll tell you. I have been too busy putting my work before my kids. I have been too busy trying to keep a clean house instead of playing with my kids.

I’ve never been more certain with the path I’ve decided with NBR. In a little over a month, I will no longer giving 40 hours of my time to my current job. That is 40 hours that I get to invest into my family and my dreams.

Tonight, I put my todo list aside and we went on a family date. I am so grateful for this family of mine and I want to give them everything.

Raise your hand if you’re a control freak? 🤦🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️

As much as I don’t like to admit it, I am very much a control freak. Rolling with the punches is not my thing. I like structure and I like things to go right the first time. How often does that really happen? Rarely.

Our family pictures are a good example. (As are most family pictures) We want to have this picture perfect life, but the reality is that there is always one or two kids in tears by the end. In this case, Liv spit up on my dress, we had to bribe Sterling with candy, and Liv just wasn’t a fan.. and that’s only the surface.

Control or no control, just always try your best. No one has it all together anyway.

For the first time ever, I didn’t overthink my camera settings! If I do say so myself, I think this looks pretty good!

The struggle is real! I have always liked taking photos, but I didn’t know how to shoot in manual to save my life.

Shooting with a real camera really makes a huge difference. No offense iPhone.

How many of you keep cutting your hair because it’s so hard to grow? 🙋🏼‍♀️

Getting past your shoulders takes SO much patience. It goes through awkward phases and most of us end up cutting it because we can’t handle it.

Because NBR Extensions do not damage your hair, they help you get past the awkward phases and it doesn’t look awkward at all.

“We don’t grow when things are easy. We grow when we face challenges.”

This is something I have to constantly remind myself. We grow because if life’s challenges!

Look back on your life. Could you do the things you are doing now 5 years ago? What about 10 years ago?

I can guarantee that you are a much different person then vs now. You have faced a lot of challenges. Are you a better person because of it? Do you have more patience, a better understanding, or a different perspective?

Remember to look back and be proud of where you came from.

Remember that this current challenge is only going to help you grow.

I feel like a lot of people think that they have to have insanely long hair if you get extensions.
