Let’s talk foreign fills and why some techs don’t accept them.
I want to preface this that the first 5 pictures are NOT my work but what my client walked in with this morning.

With foreign fills as a tech, we don’t quite know what we’re walking into as far as the quality of work your previous lash tech had. This is a huge reason why some lash techs do not accept foreign fills and will only book you for a removal and set. For me personally this is why I ask for pictures of your lashes currently, and to know who previously you went to so I can look at pictures of their work more closely. I ask this of EVERY foreign fill I get. Sometimes asking for the pictures still doesn’t let you see the full picture of what you’re getting into like with this clients lashes here. When you run into a situation like this, we HAVE TO do a full removal and full set. It’s something to always keep in mind when switching techs is that this is 1000% a possibility.

Her lashes were SO clumped with glue it took me over 40 minutes in total to remove her lashes. Your lashes should be a 1:1 ratio. 1 natural lash to 1 lash extension. When there’s clumping like this is can be so damaging to your natural lashes. This can cause pulling on the lash and premature shedding of the lash which interrupts the natural lash shedding cycle. Every individual lash you have is on its own cycle. That’s why isolation is so important so there isn’t that damage being caused. Clumping like this can cause immense amounts of pain and irritation as well.

With this being said, please do your research on your lash techs! If something doesn’t feel right, speak up to your tech and ask to be educated a bit about the proper way they should be. Your tech should never get offended about you asking. A quality tech will always care about your lash integrity and health.
