Thank you all for your loyalty, prayers, and patience as I’ve been and continue to be away for a season. It was a tough pregnancy and beautiful delivery. I’m soaking in the fresh baby snuggles. 🥰

We're Taking a Little Break again ... Semplee Aimee Massage

We’ve been so blessed to be able to add Katie to our massage team while Aimee is nearing the end of her pregnancy!
Many of you have enjoyed Katie’s expertise and compassionate care already.

Katie has been massaging for 18 years and has a passion for bringing restoration through hands-on therapeutic and relaxation massage in both clinical and spa settings. If you haven’t had the joy of working with her yet, make sure you get scheduled! She is in office Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9-4.

Any massage therapists looking for a change this summer? We are too! Now URGENTLY HIRING, we're looking for one local part time therapist specializing in therapeutic, deep tissue, massage to join our team 😀.

Recently, a question was brought up in our community:
Why would someone specifically look for a Christian massage therapist?

Whether that’s something you’ve personally wondered about, agreed with, or even disagreed with — we want to keep approaching it with clarity and respect.

One important piece of that conversation is this:

Massage therapy invites the body into a level of rest most people don’t regularly experience.

Lying still.
Eyes closed.
Guard down.
Nervous system beginning to soften.

That kind of rest requires trust.

When someone gets on the table, they’re not just receiving physical work — they’re allowing their body to become vulnerable in a very real way. And the body doesn’t separate physical safety from emotional or internal safety.

It knows the difference between tension and peace.
Between uncertainty and steadiness.

As therapists, we’re trained to create physical safety through skill, communication, and professionalism. But we also recognize that how a space feels matters just as much as what we do with our hands.

Because if the body doesn’t feel safe, it won’t fully let go.

And without that release, healing is limited — no matter how good the technique is.

This is part of why environment — and spiritual alignment — can matter more than people might initially realize.

Not in an abstract way, but in a very real, physical way that the body responds to.

We don’t take that lightly.

We’ve seen a conversation come up recently that we think is worth slowing down and talking about.

Why would someone specifically look for a Christian massage therapist?

It’s a fair question — and an important one.

If we’re honest, it’s also something that hasn’t always been handled well.

We’ve seen this question met with judgment, defensiveness, and even condemnation — and that grieves our hearts. That’s not the example of love we’re called to reflect.

We believe it’s possible to speak truth clearly and lead with love.
And that’s what we’re committed to here.

So instead of trying to answer this in a single post, we want to take a little time to walk through it thoughtfully. Not to argue, but to bring clarity. Not to divide, but to help people better understand where we’re coming from.

Because for us, this isn’t about labels.

It’s about trust.
It’s about safety.
It’s about how care is experienced — not just physically, but as a whole.
