Maple trees are blooming and honeybees are gathering nectar and pollen from their first food source. The queen sees this environmental queue to start laying more eggs now that a food source is available to their young.
Cleanup crew after harvesting, any honey that’s left behind they take back to the hive
Goldenrod is in full bloom, and bees are drying the nectar.
Here’s a picture of the threatened North American Bumblebee, these are the bees we need to be saving, honeybees are the least concern. All of the wildflowers I planted are mostly for the native species in Ohio, but the honey bees benefit from them as well
