Not sure what all those skincare ingredients actually do? Here’s a simple breakdown!

💧 HYALURONIC ACID
WHY: Helps attract and hold moisture in the skin for a hydrated, plump look.
WHEN: Morning and/or night.
AVOID: Generally works well for most skin types.

🌙 RETINOL
WHY: Helps with fine lines, texture, uneven tone and breakouts.
WHEN: At night, starting just a couple nights a week.
AVOID: Pregnancy/breastfeeding unless your healthcare provider says otherwise. Don’t use on irritated or freshly waxed skin. SPF is a must!

✨ VITAMIN C
WHY: Helps brighten dull skin, support collagen and improve the appearance of dark spots.
WHEN: Morning, before moisturizer and SPF.
AVOID: If your skin is very irritated or sensitive, start slowly.

🫧 SALICYLIC ACID — BHA
WHY: Gets into pores to help with oil, blackheads and breakouts.
WHEN: Great for oily or acne-prone skin. Start a few times a week.
AVOID: Overusing it or combining too many strong exfoliating products at once.

🌸 GLYCOLIC ACID — AHA
WHY: Exfoliates the surface of the skin to help with dullness, texture and uneven tone.
WHEN: Usually at night, 1–3 times a week depending on your skin.
AVOID: Irritated, sunburned or freshly waxed skin. Be extra consistent with SPF.

🤍 NIACINAMIDE
WHY: Helps support the skin barrier, calm the appearance of redness and balance excess oil.
WHEN: Morning or night.
AVOID: Usually very well tolerated, but stronger formulas can irritate sensitive skin.

🧴 CERAMIDES
WHY: Help strengthen and protect your skin barrier and keep moisture in.
WHEN: Morning and night—especially if your skin is dry or sensitive.
AVOID: Usually nothing! They’re a great barrier-supporting ingredients.

Remember: More products doesn’t always mean better skin. The right products, used consistently and in the right order, make the difference.
